WHERE MY MIKA PLAYERS AT? "I'll kick your ass!!"

I'm at Universal Studios with the fam, thinking about SFV. All is right with the world.

2 Questions :

- PS3 Hori Arcade sticks are confirmed to work on PS4 ? any list anywhere ?

- Is it still the same SSF4 soundtrack scheme with stage music instead of opponent music ?

Well that's great for you then!?
The game was obviously rushed.

You are right. It was rushed out the door to fit in the e-sports competitions. They finished that part of the product and are releasing it. If it doesn't have the single player modes that you want, then wait. You don't have to buy it on launch.

They had to rush it out the door in time to meet the pro events. And from the reviews, it worked. The mechanics are incredibly fun and makes a great entry point into the series.

Well the servers are not working and I can't launch the game. Maybe they are doing the final reset earlier. *fingers crossed*

It was originally scheduled to be released at 12PM EST on Steam. If he took off all day Tuesday, he wouldn't be able to play all morning if he is East Coast. I can kinda see the logic, I guess.

Check your timezone privilage! I'm in the UK - it didn't unlock until I got home from work, rendering the holiday day pointless. :)

I wanted to do a big launch night stream, upload vids to YT on how Birdie works etc. It's a bit less hype to start my stream many hours after every Tom, Dick and Harry has been streaming their launch day 24hr stuff for 18hrs.

(This is just moaning, obviously it's cool that everyone gets the game earlier).

Hmm, reviews are going surprisingly well. The gameplay just feels so good so I'm quite glad. Probably my favourite feeling fighting game.

It really does just 'feel' right. I did some farewell SF4 with friends last night and all I could think about was how much I'd rather be playing 5. Bison in particular is so lame in comparison.

Then buy the game when the single player stuff comes out.

The core game and online was ready for the folks who want to compete. They had to make it fit the schedule of the big events like Final Round, EVO, etc.

It doesn't have what you want yet. So wait. You can probably get it cheaper anyway.

I was just saying that in response to what someone else said, because everyone's different.

I won't be buying it, but will be borrowing it from the library sometime. Fighting games don't interest me for long.

I hate how color unlocks are tied to survival mode. I have no interest in survival mode.

SF4 did it fine. You just unlocked colors by playing matches with the character. I hope they change/patch this, as it's an unnecessary chore.

I'm pretty scrubby at Street Fighter. Total casual.

Found my groove with Mika though. First character where I feel like I really connect with her speed and moveset to the point I can improve myself as a player.

How long does it take to unlock every color for one character, do you know?

GG designs in general are a lot wackier than SF. They're different games with different styles.

But, boobs are boobs.

Trying to justify GG boobs over SF boobs simply because GG is weirder is silly.

Either they're both okay or they're both suspect.

I don't know about this "creative" part, looking at how XRD goes at even greater lengths shoving needless fanservice in your face. At least half of the time it's a common animé trope too... not that it makes SFV's any less tasteless.

I actually think this illustrates perfectly the difference between cheeky, GGXrd, and tacky/raunchy with SF V.

It's a fine line, but GGXrd nails it. Tone is hard to explain objectively though. You understand or you don't.

But I guess you're right in stating that it's easier for GGXrd to nail that tone, because its designs don't go for semi-realistic like SF V.

Still, the blatantness of SF's design puts me off, personally.

Tone is also subjective. Both are pretty "lol fanservice" for certain characters for me but I stop noticing this once in game.

Different strokes and all

Motion blur on PC is awful, imo. I can't stand it.

This. God it's terrible. I really hope that can be turned off. I think the PS4 looks much better. I never run motion blur in any games on my PC and here I swear it makes the game look smeared like FXAA or something. Yuck.

Can I start getting FP as soon as the game is available on psn without worrying of capcom restarting the servers and lose everything?

Someone said if you set Post Processing to medium it turns it off. I'm sure someone will find config files to switch it off too.

Absolutely true. But I doubt anyone sees a character like Laura as anything else than a walking pair of tits. :)

That can't really be said for any character in GGXrd, or SF3 for that matter.

Different strokes indeed!
