Just finished M.Bison's story mode.

Only three matches with one round with max V-trigger and CA? I hope the real thing delivers and be like MK9's.

I want to try online but VPN.

Right now everybody is the same rank, so you are going to be matched up with people of all skill levels. If its like the beta, a more accurate matchmaking should be sorted out in a few days.

Cuz in the beta, the level at the LP point range of 0-500 LP were people who didn't understand the game on a fundamental level.
Probably the only time my scrubby skillset got close to a 10 fight winstreak in ranked play.
 
PSA: You still unlock colors from the survival modes even if you're not logged in. So if you wanna unlock the colours from those, makes sure you're not logged in. This will save you the potential annoyance of getting dc'd at a random point in the 10-100 stages you're trying to clear.
 
Ugh. The fact that bodies can go through each other without hitting and that Sbk doesn't require up and the input comes off of a qcf with an up directional is really throwing me off. I'm so bad.
 
Tried to load it up on PC with a VPN. Steam was OK and it let me unpack the game, but when I start the launcher and hit OK, nothing opens. Anyone else have this issue? Is there some secondary check taking place here?
 
Sighhhhhh

The full game (PC version) has the exact same bug I had in the beta where it randomly shuts down intermittently for no reason at all.

I really don't get it. Specs-wise my computer should demolish this and yet I seem to be the only one with this issue.

I had the same issue in the beta until I ran the game in windowed mode.

Check your windows log, it often helps to find the problem

I started as ryu, then Laura. Seemed to do better with her, I actually won a couple of rounds but still lost the match.
I know its going to be shit, but I am determined to get to a decent level of player. Not tourney level, but slightly better than average.

I know that feel, first few matches were easy, people with low ranks, then i got a few people high ranked, didn't go so well haha.

Game working well. Didn't get a single laggy match so far, but i expect most europeans online right now at this hour to be less of the "playing on a 2007 laptop connected via wireless with a few torrents going" type.
 
This is fucking ridiculous:

-We have a barebone release with extremely limited single player options. We already knew this but it really is a shame.

-Battle lounge doesn't work with any of my friends. I try to connect and it says "lobby doesn't exist"

-I have weird slow downs in story/survival mode.

-STILL no support for my HORI stick.

Please Capcom, not like this....Not like this.
 
Just preordered digital and have it installing. Never played SF4 really, played a bunch of Injustice and MKX. Hoping I can get the hang of this and not get owned. Im not good at fighting games really, but held rank #1 on Injustice Wii U with Harley Quinn for a few weeks so im hoping ill be ok here.
 
At the eleventh hour, I'm still on the fence;

On PC, I at least have no input lag issue on the stick, but I don't know how well my laptop is going to play it (Nvidia 960m).

On PS4, there is the input lag but I haven't heard how severe it is for the PS3 sticks. It's easier to play with my friends, but I still need to pony up for that PSN Plus.

Shit.

Exit to the main menu, disconnect from VPN and play online. It will prompt you for the agreement and create an account.

Guess I was too quick to try reinstalling. Found a thread on the Steam forums suggesting disabling your antivirus that worked for some. Off to sleep, will be up in six hours when it unlocks, I suppose.
 
Did the VPN thing, I'm weak, and as I tried to make CFN names they kept getting taken by the air when they went through. Now this is what I have when I tried logging in from the main menu and it never asks me to enter a CFN again.

Am I screwed (steam). Any way to force a new CFN?
 
Aw man, I have the PS4 version ordered but the emphasis on the LAN cable in the OP makes me want to get the PC version instead. I mean, I could get a long LAN cable up to my PS4 but that means moving things.

You might be able to mess with some files. You could hope also they reset the servers at midnight.

Ironically that's when I started having issues the second day of the beta lol. I dunno, maybe it has something to do with the x360ce wrapper files I couldn't get working that I put into the folder. Pretty much the only different thing that comes to mind that I did between it working and it not working.

Got my first victory against a Ken! :p

Well, I switched back to Cammy... I tried to play with Karin but to me things are easier with Cammy. I'll still try to become good with Karin, I like the character.

And with me it works fine too. I had trouble to play with a PS4 friend (I play on PC), he couldn't join any of my game even after I kept sending him invites... Don't really know why. But when I search online matches no problem, I directly find.
