Diablo 3 went on to be super successful.

Perhaps they took the wrong lesson from it.

Sure. The launch was a mess, though. Requiring people to be online to play SP modes is a bad idea, and it often ends up being frustrating for a lot of people left unable to use the game they paid for.

Defend Capcom if you like, but nothing this incomplete should have been released.

Does the ingame world map show you on the wrong location for anyone else?

Says im somewhere along the east coast when im actually in west coast. Hope its just a visual bug and not actually mainly matching me with east coast players.

Right, I'm defending Capcom because you brought up a poor example.

There is gonna be more and more launches like this in the future instead of stable launches.

For future reference Capcom, maybe next time you should just delay the launch of Capcom Pro Tour the year of a major release instead of shipping a game that clearly wasn't done yet.

I know I'm probably gonna regret this.... but I just paid $25 for Hot Ryu on eBay.

The initial launch jitters will be worked out in the next few days. After that, the game will do everything the people who play Street Fighter the most want it to do. It would have REALLY sucked if Capcom delayed the game for two months so that all the single player content could launch with it. If you care about that stuff, you should wait until March before you play the game.

the only reason you need to be online for single player stuff, as in the stuff that gives you fight money, is because for the first time you can use that fight money to buy dlc characters. Its basically damned if you do damned if you dont

Been playing MMOs for years so I'm personally used to these kind of launches (sad I know, lol)

However, I am surprised a launch like this could happen to a fighting game. MKX was kind of rough too IIRC but not this bad.

But the costume will be purchasable in the in-game store :(

same as me, and like you say, its sad that we are used to this. Im not even trying to play it tbh, ive seen this movie too many times, I know that even when it looks like its fixed...it really isnt.

Well, yes and no. I figure most companies will at least finish their games (barring the now-standard day one patches) before shipping them. But my biggest issue is that the game is very online-dependent on servers that can't handle the traffic. And unless you want to play someone online, there's no reason to have to connect to their servers. I hate to say it, but I prefer the SFIV method of content distribution. Fight Money be damned, I'd rather just pay for content with real money if it would lead to things running smoother.

Is the ambient occlusion a grid of dots on the PC version like it is on PS4? It's enough of an eye sore for me that I might switch to the PC version.

There is no excuse. Driveclub lets you earn and play connection or not. Even if the connection drops while your playing.

Pros: Runs well on my 980
Hasn't crashed
I like it way more than I ever liked 4

Cons: Everything else.

Had 4 matches, beat a level 122 Ryu (wtf) and I just wish I could play more.

Are those costumes really completely exclusive? They aren't going to offer them later down the line? I jumped on BB's Cammy. She's my main.
