So, do beta players not get beta titles in the full game now?

Thanks brah

Fight 29 vs Necalli and final with bison the difficulty just jumps up.. I'm super salty I've been close.

It's ridiculous. I got through 26 or 27 fights JUST doing jump in and cross up combos. Then all of a sudden the CPU can block your attacks! It's madness.

I can see how fighting these CPUs could foster some very bad habits.

Easy to punish fireballs with that. Easy Critical art follow up. If its blocked try and and get out by doing her frontflip grab instead of the low sweep since everyone goes low. Don't spam it or you'll get destroyed easily.

I'd say go low anyway to get that desperate chip damage since blocking low will both block the low kick and completely dodge the grab attempt leaving your ass open for a crush counter combo for ONE HUNDRED BILLION DAMAGE

Can anyone point to a good combo tutorial dealing specifically with timing?

I'm having the hardest time with some of Nash's heavy combos. How these guys were doing all these high level, elaborate combos during the betas is beyond me.

I see, so deleting your save and doing story mode again won't net you more fight money like some people suggested right?

Nah, that was just for getting around a bug/flaw I think. FM stuff is all handled server-side (hence why you can't earn any while offline) so you can't cheese your save to get more.

What a disappointment this game is... I wasn't really following any news on the game because I was sure to take it Day One and my mind is blown away by how "terrible" it is...

Broken online, missing features, missing game modes like the arcade one, this is unacceptable, the game is at full price when it deserve to be at 30$ max, how can the critics could give so great score to that unfinished mess ? it's my fault because I didn't really know what I was buying but it's the last time I give Capcom any $, I'll make sure that my friends buy it used.

the game itself isn't really bad, the gameplay is pretty great and the visuals are pretty good besides some framerate dips here and there, I wish some people would be more vocal about what Capcom is doing with their games, unacceptable.

This is where I'm at with Hard mode survival. 1-15 is fine but at a certain point the AI just ramps itself up to the point where it's consistently antiairing, consistently blocking crossup attempts, stay completely still during your block strings, and tech most of your grab attempts. The singular window in whatever you're throwing out becomes an opportunity for the AI to throw out a move -just- fast enough to interrupt whatever you're doing and they basically become a wall. There's no middle ground between the AI doing literally nothing to the thing seemingly reading your inputs and it's depressing with the knowledge that you're still 35 fights behind the victory goal.

Pretty ridiculous that we've gotten to a point where something like alternate colors for characters in a fighting game have to be either grinded out and unlocked or straight-up purchased with real money above and beyond the $60 retail price.

Even more absurd is that the current climate has lulled us into thinking that this is just the way things go now.

I do understand paying for additional characters down the line, however. I just think charging (money or time) for palette swaps on characters is pretty stupid. Much like other omitted or paywalled features in this game, it's standard within the genre and should be there when they're charging full price for a retail release.

So you mean just generally? What you should do is set the dummy to block after the first hit. If they blocked the next hit of your combo you hit the button too late. If you hit the button too early the move will not come out. From there you can figure out if you need to be speeding up or slowing down your button presses for links.

Not sure how people are about spoilers when it comes to Street Fighter but just to be safe

Based on what I saw from
Dhalsim's story I really hope we get to play as Oro somewhere down the line. I always loved that character.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if I was too early or too late. Awesome, this will help for sure. Thank you.

Good visuals? Are you on pc? Because i dont think it looks good on ps4, that shadow dithering is getting on my nerves.

Oro's english voice was kinda horrendous though. I can't even make out what accent he's supposed to have :s

On one hand I kind of liked the idea of earning colors in a specific mode 1 player mode. Made them seem more meaningful.

But now that I've attempted hard with Nash about 7 times and keep failing around the 30's fuck this. I'd much orefer SFIV's way of giving out colors everytime you play a character.

I honestly don't mind that the game locks things like colors behind single player modes that most people wouldn't bother with otherwise and I've found survival to be a decent time waster when the online is as broken as it is, I just wish the AI itself was better (acted more 'human') or the modes that they locked these features behind were better designed.

Had a chance to mess around and finish the story mode with all the characters this evening. I'm planning on maining Laura or Mika, haven't quite decided yet. I'll have to spend some more time in training to work out the kinks and learn some combos.

I've spent 90% of my time in this game, even with the servers on, in training mode trying to figure the game out, how to punish, bnbs. I've never spent so much time in the training room in one day ever and my execution is increasing greatly. Really proud of my hustle. Going to take a look at my replays and then work on situations I did wrong next.
