Nah, if both his fireball hits land on top of him, he'll absorb one but get hit by the other. But yes, Bison's V-skill absorbs any single hit of any attack.

Hey guys,
I asked a couple of times about us having a PS4 community specifically for this game, no one answered and there is no news of it in the OT, so I spoke to a couple of guys here and we thought it'd be a good idea to make one.
I know there is one for the neogaf FGC already, but I thought it might be nice to have communities and channels of communication, for this game specifically.
I've also made a SFV group chat for Neogaf members, if you join this and favourite it, you can very quickly see everyone online, who you have in friends and who you don't, and message quickly everyone asking if they'd like to fight etc.. We use these group chats very successfully on other OTs like the Rainbow Six Siege OT. It can be handier when grouping people together.
If you'd like to join either group, just send me a message on PSN and I'll add you to both. If you only want to join one, then just leave the one you don't want to be in. My PSN is Chronospherics.

Aside this, would it be helpful if we had a spreadsheet with everyones Capcom Fighter ID also? That might make PC/PS4 crossplay sessions more viable as everyone can have everyone added in advance, if they so wish to.

I think what's supposed to be happening there is that the "Warrior Prophet" is telling the future, and you're playing Necali fighting those matches according to prophecy (but they haven't actually happened yet). At least, that's how it makes sense to me. It's more like a prologue, I think?
This is my interpretation as well.. Necalli is basically like an upcoming apocalypse forseen by the Warrior Prophet.. He tries to stop him but fails.. This leads to the visions that it "might" actually come true.

there's probably a archive. He plays Birdie mostly, had a ranked streak going (with some funnt shenanigans near the end) and also played TampaBison's Bison and Floe's F.A.N.G, which was the best part

Yes.
You can only play against the CPU in Survival and Story mode but the traditional Vs. CPU isn't in.

Out of curiosity I did the same. They email you confirmation you bought it and can create an account to access the guide from there. Took 5 minutes.

It doesn't let you arrange a match with a CPU, but there is a survival mode, where you fight CPU opponents.

For what it's worth, his rank doesn't mean much either at this stage, and the LP you lose will scale with the difference between your ranks. So you won't lose much for losing, yet it might be a great opportunity to learn something from a more experienced player!

Juicebox is streaming. Good person to watch if you're new to fighting games (though you'll probably get more out of it if you've played a fighting game before) because he discusses a lot of basic strategies and stuff and tends to answer questions from the chat.

Haha I can't even get past Super Bronze. I love R. Mika but I don't really ever feel confident yet with her, I still feel like I'm helpless in certain situations or I just freeze up because the animations of the game confuse me. May try and just play Ryu a bit to see if I can raise the ranks a bit more.
If there's anyone who thinks they have a really good R. Mika want to give me some pointers please feel free to share. I think I'm pretty good but I feel like I'm missing something important with her playstyle.

Got some more time in with the game. Impressions!
1) Matches are really fast. The fighting feels good, snappy.
2) Characters look freaking great.
3) The lack of content does suck.
4) Why do I want explore the lore of Street Fighter?
5) Man, Capcom sure did get me when I was a kid and bought SF2, SF2T, and SSF2.
One other thing, Battle Cammy costume is soooo good.
