Sooo when I am at 0 LP I meet someone equal and win. After that I get 3-4 in a row much higher than me so I go back to 0 snd then the circle repeats.. Feels like someone is joking with me.

Infiltration is full of joy...and is generally entertaining because he probably likes streaming. Poongko is prob ably just streaming because he knows he's good.

Poongko streams bc..idk. It's what he's always done. He puts it up as a side feature of the fact that he's always playing. The stream machine who used to play for literally the entire day and all

My last bunch of matches.

Opponent / outcome / points / lag note

Rookie / Win / +25 points.
Rookie / Win / he quit / 1st round fine, then match turned really laggy
Rookie / loss / -96 points
S Bronze / Win / +55 points / laggy match
Rookie / loss / -96 points / third round super laggy, others fine
Teleporting match, quit within 15 seconds of start.
U Bronze / Win / he quit
U Bronze / Win / he quit
Bronze / loss/ -86 points
Rookie / win / +25 points / generally laggy match

How am I meant to rank up like this?

I'm Ultra bronze btw, barely.

I mean i got to 2200 LP in a couple hours.

I wouldn't worry about ranking up and would instead focus on training mode and casual matches to get to a certain level if your rank is that important.

Why are you people worrying over ranked? If you really wanna fight go set up a Battle Lounge. I spent an hour of constant playing with very good opponents instead of looking at a menu.

IMO, it's best not to separate people into multiple smaller communities.

Almost every other multiplayer OT has its own community per game and that works fine. It's much better than having to sift through a genre-based community system, where Uncharted and The Division players are grouped together.

I don't want to see a list of Injustice players if I want to play SFV. I think for a good number of people, SFV will be the dominant fighting game that they play. So I feel that it makes sense for people to be able to quickly view and group with people, that have the game in common.

It's the same reason SFV has its own OT, and isn't just collapsed into the Neogaf FGC thread. It's for people who want a community focus that is specifically on this game. If you don't want that you don't need join.

You just made me feel stupid!

I spent half an hour playing Menu fighter V, got 3 matches with zero lag.

90% of my time with this game so far outside of training mode has been battle lounge and local vs. I'm not overly concerned about rank, especially since I plan on playing both platforms. It doesn't seem to have much effect on FM gain at the moment and I won't worry about that either until dailies exist.

The SFV Twitter guy.

For real

I have been Ken or Zangief since SF2. I've switched to Chun Li for SF5

I played about 3 hours last night, won 2 of like 18 matches. I won like 3 in a row with Ken but he's not my new aspiring main so he doesn't count

When I finally won that first match it was a FUCKING FINALLY moment. I wasn't even happy I was just pissed off about all the ones I lost by 1 hit, or saw where I wiffed etc.

Went to bed pissed off.

Street Fighter, I have missed you.

My TES comes tomorrow. My Venom stick has served me well for USFIV and this opening week of SFV, but it's time to upgrade. Can't wait.

Loading takes ages on PS4 today, wasn't this bad yesterday. Matches every 1-2 minutes though, but loading can take up to 30 secs.

You're pretty much gonna have to get used to blocking on the other side as soon as dhalsim does a teleport.

How is twitch blocking like that affected by the fact that the game is online? The netcode does a good job of getting rid of input leniency but it's ultimately a form of client side hit detection so I don't know what happens if on his screen, it hits you before you register that you're blocking with the server.

I imagine things like this may be more dominant / effective online than they would be offline.

Shit, forgot there was a trophy for that. Motherfuckers.

Should note that I like it when games have achievements that require actual skill rather than grinding, so I'm happy it's there. Just no idea if I'll get it.

I dislike all trophies that require other people. Be it competitive or co-op.

You can't rely on shitty internet to carry you forever. Plus you'd have to play as Dhalsim. Ain't no amount of work worth that.

I actually legitimately want to be good with Dhalsim one day.

how do you go against dhalsim's yoga fire -> teleport behind my back with Karin?

Whenever you see him do yoga fire dash up/get closer to him. Even if you cant hit him in time its better than staying still and taking a mixup.

If he is just doing raw teleports like a madman , jab him out of it.

For me, it's because I've seen how amazing ranked play is when it's done probably. You just press a button and get a match with an opponent of equal skill within seconds. With battle lounges, you have to spend a lot of time finding one with an opponent who doesn't lag and has a similar skill level to your own - both things that well implemented matchmaking takes care of in seconds.

On a related note, I wish casual matches had an option for rematches. I found plenty of players that I would love to play more with, but without a rematch option that is very hard to set up. It would basically turn casual matches into battle lounges with matchmaking, which would be great.

I was like "this aint' so bad" when I did a couple but then I did it with Chun Li(who I have the 2nd costume for), and realized it's per costume

Day 1 purchase

I have a feeling the colors will be purchaseable with FM. I just want an exploit so I can easily get the Hell trophy (the MP SRK spam isn't working).

What do you guys think would be a good punishment for rage-quitters? No more fight money for a week after 5 disconnects?

Getting matched up with other players that have a high DC rate and lose LP like a regular loss.

I think cutting off FM would be a bit too much since Capcom wants to encourage players using the shop.

I'll add you when I get home Chronospherics and then add myself to the sheet. I haven't really messed with PS communities before that sounds cool.

I want the 4k trophy then I don't care.
Wouldn't it make sense to wait a little bit before going for this trophy? Wait for players to accumulate points, so that your wins give you more points? I know this also gives players time to get better, but I don't think it's time for us mere mortal players to go for the platinum just yet.

Lame, another ragequitter, just because I did CA when he was dizzy..
Its true in most fighting games that you shouldn't KO a suspected dropper with a CA. In 3rd Strike for example, the second the game goes "KO!", your win gets registered. In some games, I would purposely make the round close so that they didn't have time to drop before the game registered the win.

But that's not how it works in SF5. Even after the game goes KO, there's time 5-10 seconds to drop without the game registering the win.

I'm guessing theirs no penalty for dcing? just had a ken around my rank dc when he knew he would lose.

When you get to Ultra bronze it seems to be quitters nonstop. Also pretty much everyone with a win streak more than 5 seems to be a quitter.

So bad I think I may just start doing it with every loss because I cannot rank up legit when the only wins I get are from low ranks where the losses are terrible to your points. Until I get the 4k trophy, then I don't care about ranked and will proably never play it again.

I know that gonna ruffle some feathers but if others are gaming the system I got no choice.

none so far. Capcom said they're looking into it.

Massive cooldown for another match for multiple DC and also yea, start taking away your fight money. if you can't play a game online without multiple DC then go play something else if you have shitty internet.

Purchased last night for my PS4, along with Fallout 4 Season Pass, Black Ops III Season Pass, The Witness and Drive Club.

I only played a few minutes. Feels very different. I think I hate the DS4 shoulder buttons and trigger for fighters, or just this game. Going to have to do some button swapping.

Initial impression is how great the game looks and how curves the women are.
