People that annoy the hell out of me in Survival are Dhalsim, Rashid, and Nash.

Edit: I hate that they took away his green hand. It was the only move that showed that he had some sort of power. :P

I've been kicking ass with Laura in casuals both last night and this morning.

Too afraid to do ranked though
 
fuck man, I might just buy a HRAP4 from a reseller on Amazon for a few more bucks instead of waiting for Amazon to restock....

Use your V-Skill. Seriously. I'm not kidding. Abuse that shit. It's so freaking good. Particularly if you can block. Then get V-Trigger.

Abuse that shit.


Also remember that his headbutt (F.HP, I believe) cancels fireballs when it hits them.
 
Christ I'm bad at this game. I'm playing Survival on Normal & around Stage 27/28 all my attacks get fucking blocked repeatedly. So annoying having to start from the beginning every time.

V-Skill, s.hp and V-trigger give him plenty of options to close distance. Plus his anti-airs are godlike.

I like Geif more in this game than ever before.

You're not bad, the CPU is literally reading your commands and reacting perfectly. Don't you think it's weird that it doesn't press a button for like 7 seconds yet suddenly crush counters you the second you try to do something?

I have mine for sale, but be warned there is a piece of the cord that is open. Works 100% fine, but that's the only issue with it visually.

PM me what you would want it for, and how you want it shipped, etc.
 
why do I always have issues finding matches :/ I've only had one online match ever.

Is it because I'm wireless? Pulling a cable isn't an option atm
 
I seem to get good matches outside of peak times but from around 6-9pm it's just one bar dogshit or nothing. You'd think it'd be easier to find games when everyone is on. I hope it's not my isp.
 
Just want to say I love all of you World Warriors. You made the launch fucking great, along with helping learn more about the game with resources shared from other players, to combos, match-ups and opinions on sticks and the game overall.

Rage quitters have no honour and I hope Capcom makes their hard drives fry upon disconnecting before a loss.... Or you know .. A timeout function at the very least.

I hope that it resets them when then get to 3,999LP. That would crack me up.
 
It occurs to me that the Story Mode releasing in June might feature the same brain dead AI with only Best of 1 Matches and no options. Sigh...
 
I just won a match with 1 pixel health against a dirty Nash player, felt sooo good. Man when the matchmaking works it's great, yesterday I had issues finding matches. I'm still waiting for the stability patch Capcom.

I'll second this recommendation. These are the best beginner videos I've found so far. Though the intro videos for GLHFtv at the end of the OP of this thread are helpful as well.

I'm very interested in the new Gief. The only thing that scares me away is FANG, that battle seems like a nightmare.
 
I'm really struggling with getting comboed all over the place. Not sure if I just need to practice blocking better or what. I feel like I give opponent's a small opening and they can maximize it. i feel like every time an opponent gives me an opening I just poke them and back off lol.

Man this game at present is really disappointing, the online is more borked than mkx was, it takes agessssssdsddd to find a match, I'm taking about 20 to 30 minutes atm, total unplayable slideshow, and what's with the ugly ass shadows on the character models?
Story mode I'm not that fussed about, but no classic arcade mode! Really?
 
I am totally an offensive player, I just unleash way too quickly and take way too many risks that can be punished by a patient player. I will now spend 3 hours in the training room with the CPU set to 9 and will do nothing except block, no matter how much the urge to fight back rises.
 
So yeah, just wondering. Cause I know some people mentioned it... But Rashid isn't OP... right?

Would suck to finally learn how to play someone and then they get nerfed to oblivion. D:

Sorry for the late response, I didn't see your question.

Light spinning mixer, unmashed, is -2 blocked, which means you can't punish but you have a slight advantage. So as the defender, you should jab which will beat anything he can throw out other than something invulnerable. If you do that, then you condition them to block. That's when you start going for the throw.

EX spinning mixer is his SRK-like move. Block and punish on the way down.

He's great, but others outpoke him pretty good. He's only a low to moderate damage character too.
