And you finally found a new gif. Now watch me whip, and watch me ad-block.

I can tolerate Guy and Lee buy B is just awful. I just want him killed off.
His rapping is the worst, but he does give some good advice to Naruto at times. I'm trying to take the good with the bad, but I'm also tuning out from time to time these days.
And you finally found a new gif. Now watch me whip, and watch me ad-block.
A page full of this gif will give me either a seizure or a migraine.

Haha I think you should change the gif as well ghst, too much flashing *_*

Holy fucking shit if that's true.

At one point Anko was his favourite female character lmao

But Sakura practically stalks Sasuke as well. You can't fault Hinata for that yet not fault Sakura for that as well. Her whole character arc is practically to have Sasuke's kids with her Part one self not knowing what the hell to even do without having Sasuke next to her. She was a super clingy jealous girlfriend without being a girlfriend.

Difference is Sakura has more aspects to her character: relationship with Tsunade and wanting to get stronger to save her team, puts her life on the line for Chiyo who she had just met, friendship with Ino, is seen helping numerous civilians being a medic, relationship with Naruto and wanting to help him etc

Meanwhile, Hinata's entire character revolves around Naruto. It begins there and ends there and the proof is in the pudding, even in the new era series.

So basically she only exists to stalk the protagonist, faint in his presence and give him like three pep talks throughout the entirety of the series. Every time we see her character it's naruto related.

Despite Sakura not having a clan name to fall back on she's a character with actual ups and downs, fears, aspirations etc. Whether you like them or not.

A backstory doesn't make a character, it's their actions and thoughts that flesh them out. Hinata's actions never expand beyond getting Naruto to notice her.

Thats a positive. Sakura started as one of the weakest kunoichis and now, despite having no clan or KKG, she has become the strongest.

episode 414 premiered around one year ago, sis

get a grip

How can he when he gets so pressed by Sakura and her fans.

I find that hard to believe since Anko got her shit rocked by Cobra Commander Kabuto and has been laying on the ground for what feels like 8 episodes so far. I'll admit Sakura's handling isn't as one note as Hinata's, but I just like Hinata more, but Hinata's plotting is nothing but wasted potential since I feel they could've done a lot more with that character, which might explain some of my numerous "WTF" outbursts. I see a good character in Hinata, but it just seems like either Kishi or the person adapting the anime trips over horrendously.

Hinatas character begins around Neji and her family struggle not Naruto. She is/was the heir of a noble clan, thats her story. It took Sakura to part 2 to fight Sasori and then shes likely only there because shes team 7.

Hinata is fighting her personal shortcomings the whole series and not just begging for help as Sakura does and promising she will catch up.

Idk when Anko was supposedly Kishis favorite character but this interview is after he finished the series.
At 17:44: Kishimoto answers the question of who is his favorite character.
Announcer: Kishimoto-sensei’s answer?
Kishimoto: Since I can’t say various names as my favorite, I like all of the characters, but of course it’s Naruto.
Announcer: By the way, what about (your favorite) female character?
Kishimoto: Female characters… it feels kind of creepy to say I like a character that I made. I like them all. But I like Hinata

Edit: Oh wait, think I found it. Yeah Kishi said Anko was his favorite before shippuden even launched. Wow you guys really do hold on to any little string. So by the end of part 1 Anko was the favorite, by the end of par 2 Hinata. Cool but where's his lead lady?

At least he didn't say Karin. Even though he acts like karin with how he crushes on Sasuke.
Why did Choji grow butterfly wings of light like the fucking Turn A Gundam?

Didn't Hinata spend that fight against Neji thinking about Naruto? I can admit that a lot of Sakura's storylines revolve around team 7 (no shit, she's in team 7) but you seem deadset on denying that Hinata exists to be Naruto's love interest. I haven't seen her achieve anything other than be his wife.

You keep bringing this up, why does it even matter who Kishi's favorite female character is? They were all practically shelved anyway

Yes Naruto is her motivation, the fight itself has nothing to do with him. She fights Neji despite all the warnings not to because she wants to prove that she has matured and is not going to run away.

I only bring Kishis favorite up because of how apparent it is in the story. Sakura fans try to flash her being in the main team around when in reality it just amounts to her being there to get into trouble or needing to be rescued.

Yes she is Narutos chosen love interest since early in the story, I dont know when I denied that but its a main part of my argument. NaruSaku and their red herrings is also apart of the story. Sakuras interaction with Naruto for most of the story is either begging Naruto to fix something or defeat somebody. Or chasing after Sasuke and begging him to comeback as he shuns them and becomes further detached. Even after awakening her strongest power she is still treated like fodder by Sasuke when it comes to fighting the enemy. Not even being worth relaying the current situation to bwcause shes so worthless. Hinata chases after Naruto in a similar fashion but the differece is that Hinata as a character is usually used to pick Naruto up versus burden him more or beg him to do anything. I dont recall Hinata ever asking Narutos help. Also Hinata gaining her father's and Nejis respect after having her title of heir stripped is huge for her character.

You can tell alot about how an author cares or feels about a character by looking at how they are used. Hinata may not get used much in the story but at least her character keeps her dignity most of the series. Sakura is constantly shit on and made to look helpless.

Yes I'm sure Hinata looked really helpful taking all those Ls throughout the story, and continuing to do so in the new era.
Meanwhile, the girl who has saved the hero and anti-hero numerous times throughout the story, helped kill an Akatsuki member, saved dozens of lives throughout the story, was a crucial part in the war effort is somehow not "useful".
You can tell alot about how an author cares or feels about a character by looking at how they are used. Sakura continues to play crucial parts in the end of the manga and new era while Hinata is competing with Ino in the sidelines.

Seems like rambis is getting blinded by all those double standards he has to employ for his point to stand.

It was before that, way before that. Iirc he said he liked Anko due to her relationship with Orochimaru lol

I dunno man. Take Naruto away and what else is there to Hinata's character. I would say she could play a part in changing the Hyuuga clan but that was Neji's thing.

Hinata is the first person to actually want to do things to actually impress Naruto...her and Konohamaru.

Not sure what you mean.

Before the bulk of Konoha got wind of how good Naruto could be during the Chuunin exams Hinata actually wanted Naruto to notice her. So she toughed it out during her fight with Neji and in good form got the guy to actually pay attention to her and root for her. Granted yeah. She doesn't really do much without the guy and if you take him away I have no idea what'd she'd even be good for. She doesn't really have that much focus and half the time when I expect her to do something she don't do shit any way, but you can say that about most of the women in the god damn show. Most of my favorite female characters are just fucking there doing fuck all. Funny enough Ten Ten with some magic fan killed one of Kakuzu's shadow spirit things, wasn't expecting that to happen. Shizune's in the war doing god knows what, but at least her half corpse isn't by Cobra Commander Kabuto taking a serious L. The women of Naruto just hold L's, all of them. Can't even defend most of them. When is the Anko filler any way? Did I miss her backstory filler?

She wanted Naruto to notice her but from the text I got that Hinata wanted to prove herself to herself above all. She basically just wanted to quit being looked at as a pushover after having her title stripped by her family. Naruto actually acknowledged her effort before that though.

Yeah most of the female roles are trash. Some just are more so than others.

If I'm not mistaken even her little sister beat her ass. I can see she does have some sort of inferiority complex, much more so than the rest of the cast. It's something I wish the show would pay more attention to cause she's not as demure as she was in the beginning. I mean it's quite clear she can do things cause she's not dead, she's just not given much of a focus, it's one of the things that annoys me about the show.

Idk if its canon or not but it was shown that Hinata actually had Hanabi defeated and showed mercy because she was too nice/weak. Her problem is her timidness more than anything.

does the young sis hanabi even show up in the second major section of the story?
Don't think she is shown in Part 2 at all. She's in the last getting kidnapped IIRC

Oh ok. I guess I just remember events wrong, it's been awhile.

You likely haven't seen what im referencing. It is a movie special for The Last. But basically Hinata had the "killing blow" on Hanabi but couldn't go through with it. She held back and let Hanabi win. After that Hanabi and her Father looked at Hinabi as too weak to be there Hyuuga heir.

Yeah, the special implied Hinata let her sister win.

There is also the fact that it seems that Hinata has 0 interest in leading the Hyuga.

I actually like Hinata, and I think she is a good match for Naruto compared to Sakura who I think works far better as Naruto's friend than as his lover.

But I will also admit that she is the most one-dimensional character in the series even compared to characters like Ten-Ten and Ino

I can at least imagine what Ten-ten or Ino would do on their days off, what they do on their free time and their hobbies.

Ten-ten wanting to open a ninja tool shop and Ino being a florist and knowledgeable on the subject.

I have no idea what the fuck Hinata would do if Naruto wasn't around. She legit has no interest outside of Naruto.

Hinata still had responsibility within the Hyuuga. It was implied that she was in charge of the family in the Pain Arc while her dad and Hannabi were away for example. The Hyuuga in general are largely left unexplained during part 2 and it suprised me
that Kishi started revisiting in the end game.

I wish they kind of showed her leading the clan a bit more. Also, she doesn't even show interest in knitting. It was just something she did to give Naruto a gift.

I like her, but only with the idea of what she could be and less of what she is.

Yeah Hinata has a lot of good potential, but they just never delivered on it. I could actually easily imagine Hinata learning how to dance, she's easily agile enough for it and I could see her implementing it into her Gentle Fist technique, but nope nothing.
I think you were right. Anything with Hinata winning a fight is probably non canon.
Hinata beat the shit out of a giant wasp
in filler

Can I just watch the last before I finish this damn show? Cause I just don't think I'm going to make it. War arc is so....dull.

At least Hinata is getting laid. Sasuke won't even peck Sakura on the cheek. No wonder Sarada went through the episode she did.

That can be said for most of the cast.

"Most?" Only one's I'm not too disappointed with is Shikimaru and Kakashi. He's a jobber, but he's going to be fucking Hokage. Do I ever get anymore of the Guy and Kakashi rivalry? Why the hell is the Team 10 friendship more believable than the Team 7 friendship?

All because ghost Tobi told him...let alone gave him the most bullshit powerup in the manga

Not really, at most they get there moments during the war, but one of Gai gets ruined or lessen greatly.

Well 2-3 have a better told friendship then whatever Naruto and Sasuke friendship is. There team isn't broken apart for some time because of one of them has a revenge/hate boner for his brother and hanged out and went on missions together over the 2 years.

I mean even Yusuke and Hiei have a better friendship/rivalry than the Naruto Saauke one. InoShikoCho has a lot more going for it, even pre time skip. Actually just found out that their families have been fighting together for multiple generations. Those guys are bonded. Team 7's just well "we couldn't stand each other, then tolerated each other, then Sasuke fucked it up."

Well it's a basic rivalry/friendship, 2 former enemies now comrades force to work together and sort of bond though it.

It also helps that there friendship isn't the major focus of the manga while Naruto/Sasuke are. It's played up to such a degree and the writing isn't good enough, that when the connection between the 2 loses you it really affects the overall work.

This one moment between Yusuke and Hiei is a better friendship/rival dynamic moment than most if not all Naruto & Sasuke moments

That's cause Hiei's a true bro, whether he admits it or not, that's what makes him a good character. He hides behind his wall of bullshit, but eventually you can just see through it. Nothing tops Hiei and Kurama though.

Hinata was never a leader, in fact her character is the direct opposite. The leader role was always there for a certain someone else: Neji.

Yeah Hinata has a lot of good potential, but they just never delivered on it. I could actually easily imagine Hinata learning how to dance, she's easily agile enough for it and I could see her implementing it into her Gentle Fist technique, but nope nothing.

There's a difference between potential and making things up and calling it potential because you like a character. Hinata being a badass, notably strong or a leader is the latter while Hinata becoming especially recognised by her father is the former.

Kakashi ain't a jobber. He's top tier.

She was still knitting at the end of The Last when the kids ran through the living room. Maybe it's her passion.
The knitting is from Kishis wife. Kishis wife made him a scarf of some sort before they got married. Thats where The Last plot comes from.

Kakashi ain't a jobber. He's top tier.

Yeah, I'm not sure where this came from. In Shippuden: he deals with Itachi and Deidara and even when clearly outmatched, he gives Kakuzu and Pain of all people a run for their money. Not to mention that his fights are, along with Sasuke's, probably a bit more even, the best in the franchise.

Sakura continues to play crucial parts in the end of the manga and new era while Hinata is competing with Ino in the sidelines.

But Hinata gets much more spotlight in both movies. :p Gaiden is the only thing where Sakura has focus and it's an unrelenting array of L's for her even if that biggest one didn't come true.

Kakashi at one point is godly but....
New era concerns Boruto and Gaiden. Latter, Sakura is clearly at the forefront of things and in the latter although both are in the backseat, one actually does something useful, even if its momentary at best.

I heard about that Gaiden stuff and I never read the manga lol. It sounded hilarious and I wish it came true.

Its only 10 chapters. You could read it in 15 mins.
