Fucking lmao hahaha

So far I've only played one actually good Mika player. It was pretty eye opening. Got wrecked.

I tried watching replays of the highest ranked Mika player to pick up hints on what to do. Can't play like he does at all lol, if I try I get crush countered to oblivion

Can someone please try to help me with my controller issue?

I recently bought a Hori FC4 and have been playing mostly fine. I'm not good at the game so it took me a while to figure out this issue. I don't know exactly when it started to happen but I only noticed this recently. Some of my blocks were simply not working so I went to training mode to do some testing. Recorded a quick video to explain better:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hq11RZogQyU

Basically every time I defend doing a left -> down-left motion, the game doesn't input my block on the down-left command. If I do this defending on the other side holding right, then down-right, it's fine. And if I JUST do down-left, it's also fine. The problem is when I defend a standing attack, then try to defend the crouching ones.

I also noticed against real oponenets that sometimes I manage to defend the low kick, but the fireball usually hits. What gives? Is the controller broken or did I mess up some its configurations?

Dragon Punch left>down>down-left>left works fine too. I really don't understand what is going on with the blocking stuff.

Here's just a general thought on what Ranked Matchmaking should do

- Best of 3 if both Players are at Silver or Higher
- You get more Fight Money the higher your Rank (Through Top Bronze: 50, Through Top Silver: 100, Above that: 150)
- Rage Quitting should cost you 1000 FM
- If some Rage Quits you, you get 100 of their FM

I agree with this, but they should only lose the points after a review. Like, someone should verify that it was indeed a rage quit. Unless they have a way of detecting what was intentional. Maybe the point loss could kick in after a certain amount of infractions? Either way, I like where you are going with this...

The point steal would make a rage quit the best thing ever. Making people rage quit would become your primary desire...

Damn Biz, thanks for the matches. Have very little bison exp so just kinda winged it, I know where he's plus but trying to fight back was something else.

Whoever was telling me that only Karin's shouldercharge is safe, you sure about that? Her launcher seems safe as well. Also her bullshit zoning kick punishes whiff jabs wtf

It just sank in. The announcer sucks in this game. Where is the excitement? CVS2 set the bar with fighting game announcers and now we some guy who's worse than Bryon Saxton.

I bet that Survival Mode would be more exciting.

It was fun, GGs. And yeah, I noticed you didn't fall for like any frame traps.

I'd suggest fishing for lows (I've seen others combo off them with Karin, yes? / go for throws / jump at me more. You never jumped and Bison is weaker than most against throws. Then I'll spam throw tech and you'll pound me with massive Karin damage.

I think 100fm per loss is fair. The system usually can't tell between a full on rage quit and an accidental disconnect, which can be troublesome for some people. For example: I used to live in a shittier student house, and every time my roomate turned on the microwave downstairs my internet would drop. Unfortunately I couldn't wire up at the time for various reasons. Because of maybe 1-2 discønnects a day wouldn't be to uncommon, so punishing it insanely hard at like losing 1000fm or have increasing punishments can be unfair to these players. Just give the remaining player who didn't disconnect 50 fight bucks and take a set amount from the disconnecter.

Noted! I suck balls at throw teching, too used to NRS titles. Converting off of lows for her I have to either do the just frame launcher or the double kick stuff. I was doing the ex version just because it's safe. Something to work on. Will definitely have to play again for sure. Hope the connection felt good on your end, felt damn near lagless to me.

Sounds like a defective controller.

a fight money penalty would cause a shit storm. i'm 1000% sure they won't even consider that

Survival mode sucks. Real talk. Capcom really needs to get another way of unlocking colors that isn't the fucking store.

I wonder how matches getting counted is tied to the replay system. Right now, I'm thinking about the implications of making a DC equal a loss, and I'm wondering how that would sync with the whole integrated online system. IIRC you can currently follow someone's LP history by looking at their ranked matches, so how would DC factor into that? Would the server save an incomplete replay? Would it count the match but not make the replay available? Would it even appear on your match history?

If they can sort these issues out, I still think DC=loss of whatever LP you would have would be the best thing to do. Maybe add on a five-minute MM ban.

Me and flux going in like money is on the line!!!
This is street fighter baby!!!!

GGs! Had to quit there 'cause, honestly, the tense matches were getting to me and making me lose my focus over time, heh.

I felt I leveled up during that set, though, so thanks for the games. The fireballs and the DP make it hard to get in for Mika... I'll have to look into that.

Finally jumped back in to multiplayer today after a week break due to R6 and The Division beta but sticking to doing the Character stories and some survival.

I mainly stuck to just casual matches to train and practice, break my bad habits etc and yielded some great results with 1 loss out of 10-15 matches. Last fight resulted in the opponent rage quitting because he was Vega and I'm maining Ryu and after I came back and took the first round, I controlled the pace in the second and near the end activated my V-Trigger and he tried to counter that and make a come back by activating Vega's V-Trigger only he then proceeded to jump right into a fully charged Triggered EX fireball which almost wiped out his remaining health but then he quit. A casual match. I mean really? lol

I tried a ranked match but the loading and connection was super spotty for some reason and even though I won I just jumped back to casual for now. Won a couple of normal survivals so all in all a great night. lol

When are we able to hear actual stage music instead of character themes in online matches? Getting sick of ryus theme..
I love this game but cmon capcom, this is just stupid.

I suck really bad with Zangief, but I want to be good with him. Any tips? I've already seen UltraDavid's video.

Hard to say without having footage.

General stuff I guess

-Always Anti-air jumps. Between Lariat, Cr. Hp. st. hk and st. jab the god button nobody should be anywhere in your sky zone.

-Know your buttons. Except for characters like Chun and Sim and Nash your good buttons (St. mk, cr. mk, st. hp, cr. jab) should all be quite a bit farther reaching than your opponent's counterparts. Use them to outpoke your opponents.

-Never use command grab as a wakeup.

Don't see the big deal, 100fm is nothing. And if it discourages stuff like dc'ing that what's the problem?

to me it doesn't seem so bad. you can make it back quickly enough but essentially its taking virtual money back from people. the shitty internet argument means that capcom will catch hell for it

Super annoying getting silver ranks still. I lose 150 fucking points if I don't win and only gain 5. So bullshit.
Ur addicted man...come take a load off in casuals and lounge lol.

What a set I just had with FluxWave! Mika is straight 50/50 after her leg drop kick. I was trying to back dash and get out of there and nope!!! Lol..learned a lot about Mika, I really need to get good with all the characters to understand their approach to a match.

Let's go again sometime buddy, helluva night!

I took it up a notch and so did he, man it's magical

I'd be so bold as to suggest using air 360 HP as a wakeup move.

Just don't see what the argument would be. "oh my god capcom, how dare you take fm from people who dc a disproportionate amount!" Like, it doesn't really seem like an argument that would hold a lot of sway among those of us that don't constantly chickenshit mode

Hello, I'm a 23 year old male looking for volunteers to slap me in the face every time i FUCKING JUMP WHEN I DON'T NEED TO. How do I unprogram this?!

I think fang is deadly against zangief due to range and poison.

I just want to fight some good players man. With no 2/3, you can lose to the most random shit sometimes and lose so much points.
