I thought i could escape ragequitters by playing casual matches but nope, get the final hit on a Vega player and yep, DISCONNECTED.

Why are people such babies?

I've had this issue since beta. No clue wtf that's all about. In match I have a rank.
Yeah same. Gonna post what I added to that last post here for new page.

Also, when you guys check stats of the character you main for online, do see anything there? Everytime I check, everything just says 0.00%. Like I haven't played a round yet.

Honestly I think the player/character stats fuck up their servers somehow. The only times I've consistently seen all of that stuff working (player rank, LP, win streak, etc.) at the same time is when there's massive connection problems all around.

Then they take things down for maintenance, come back online, and matchmaking works smoothly, but all those extra stats aren't showing up.

Same now as it was in beta.

Matchmaking is still the pits, i dunno sitting on my ps4 for an hour only to pay 2-5 matches is really making me lose interest, might just give up and try again in a few weeks, I mean 10 days in and it's still not working properly, wth, its not like Street fighter is massively popular compared to other franchises.
Travesty of an early online experience.

Found a way to make links very easy in this game. All this while I've just been memorizing the timing, usually inputing a button right before the animation ends, similar to iv except eariler. You don't have to do this.
Right when you hit an opponent there's a freeze frame with the orange flash effects just mash the button during the freeze and the link will come out 100% guaranteed. Doesn't even feel like a 3 frame buffer.

What's the best way to punish that horizontal flying kick from Rashid with Mika? When I block it he bounces out of my range and by the time I get to him he can already react.
After a bit of testing, all of the kicks can be punished by slide or qcf+hp if rashid does them too close (at about your charged dropkick range) and dash forward into command grab beats any normal/block. If he hits with the very tail end of the running kick you MAY be able to punish with qcf+pp, but it's a bit wonky and unreliable. If he doesn't hit with the very tip, qcf+pp will punish or dash>hcb+pp beats anything but a jump.

Using new character with a pad (can't use stick late at night because damn thing is so loud) is really awful. Everything feels so unfamiliar.

Lol exact opposite for me. Pad player, so when I practice on stick, I practice with characters I already know. Feel like it's better than trying to learn a peripheral AND a character at once.

Do others just try to learn the peripheral and the character at the same time? Or would you say it's better to practice a character you know on the peripheral your'e trying to learn? The way I see it, if I am using a character I know, I'll know what exactly I am messing up.

Are there any other fighting games are on pc with decent player base and netcode? I'd consider buying one just to see if my connection problems have the same pattern.

Fuck ragequiters. That'll be all.

Seriously, twice I won the first round and was beating my opponent's ass on second when lo and behold, connection is lost with your opponent..... fuck off.

At least the Dhalsim that I fought was man enough to accept his defeat.

9 win streak with Rashid and maybe dropped one round the entire time. Now Super Bronze. Feels good man. Watching others play really helps out.

Rushido does some work.

I'm looking to get this game and an entry level fight stick, a few questions if anyone can answer them:

My PS4 is a bit away from my chair, can i use a USB extension with the fight sticks or will this cause issues?

Is there much difference between the PS4 and PC versions? any reason to get one over the other at all?

What are you going to do if the patch upcoming doesn't fix it for you? I mean really you are sitting on a $60.00 paper weight. I'd be doing all sorts of shit to see if it can get me matches.

I'm not going to make my internet connection unsafe for one game. I doubt my ISP would let me change it to NAT1 anyway.

Haunts told me they are aware there are matchmaking issues for some regions anyway!

Except I've never seen it say anything but "not ranked" for me or my opponent under our names.

Also, when you guys check stats of the character you main for online, do see anything there? Everytime I check, everything just says 0.00%. Like I haven't played a round yet.

Maybe your oponents are not ranked between 1-1000 on the leaderboards? Whats your lp?

I am really impressed by the decent Vega players out there. Its crazy how good they can keep chaining combos which are almost impossible for me to get out of (as Karin). Also very unpredictable. I find it more satisfying when I am playing aginst less popular characters (among the hundreds of Kens and Ruys).

You can send him a message?

Actually, I wonder how that would work, seeing as the ID isn't a PSN or Steam one...

How hard would it have been to include a basic messaging system into CFN? I'm really hoping they eventually end up doing that and fleshing out the community aspect of CFN a bit more.

Just saw a fraudulent Bison player called GootecksShimmy rage quit on a PaulB's after he got chipped out by super.

That nickname sounds familiar...

Fuck this shit.

How am I supposed to react to anything when the opponent teleports next to me from half screen?

Heaven forbid a developer just license GGPO instead of halfheartedly reinventing the wheel.

Yeah the lag is real when it's present. It's funny how SFX happen for things you did even though what actually ends up happening is something entirely different.

its amazing how many times I've had a random lag spike at the exact moment I was inputting Mika's charged heavy kick after a wall bounce so it doesn't register

Sorry if this has already been covered, but has Capcom talked about how they are going to deal with balance patches? I hope they do yearly balance patches for all characters (if necessary) and don't go the route of micromanaging every character through multiple patches throughout the year, unless something is in dire need of fixing.
