I think some stages have framedrops on ps4, on pc it´s prolly your hardware or you have some process running in the bg that activates right at those times (activating swapping)
From what I've heard the frame drops on PS4 are supposedly server hiccups? Apparently the game is stable if you go offline

Is there any way to make vs mode use character music the way online matches do? This was a thing in SF IV but I don't think it is in SF V.

It's bad enough having a bunch of random stages instead of character themed levels but I really miss my character themes :(

For some people it's only a good match when they win. It's a somber feeling, thinking you're having a quality match and you're both enjoying yourselves and then the other dude RQs and you realize the whole time he was going "Man, FUCK this guy."

no tts not "its only a good match when you win", its having your win robbed from you. Really, we have RQ defenders now? Truly ive seen everything on Gaf

edit: Cant beat Nashes ;_;

Did the lobby server crash completly just now? Can't find any lobbies anymore.

[Edit] And now it's working again. Jesus this is so wonky.

Hmm I see. I'm on PS4. The first time I saw it was on the underground stage, but for sure on Karin's stage its pretty gross. Its all good Karin's stage is great but that music is way too epic for hours and hours of training mode.

I, uhh, wasn't defending rage quitters at all. I'm saying it sucks when you think you and a dude are having a quality match and then they ragequit and you realize the dude is kind of an asshole and didn't respect your play.

hey thanks for tabbing me out of the game to give me the stupid AERO warning windows, that was nice of you. Actually lost the match because I had to fiddle to get back, great

Sometimes it's just frustratiion for losing and ragequitting as a result. The issue isn't really ragequitting per se but rather that for the other player it leaves a very sour taste when they don't get rewarded for winning.

For the ragequitters there is no reason not to do it as there are no negative concequences that let them think twice for doing so.

What I hope Capcom does is:

Only when it happens in short succession of each other of course. If you disconnect 4 times in 20 matches that's already quite a lot.

Ingame game time:

First disconnect: 1 minute unable to queue
Second disconnect; 10 minutes
Third disconnect: 30 minutes
4th discnnect: 2 hours

I prefer this over losing points as that only puts them against weaker opponents they can win against.

when you havent played in 2 days and your first match you crush someone

and then proceed to lose the next three

with the second being the one windows force alt tabbed me and cost me a round against a Bison (man, I would have stopped attacking if I saw the person wastn responding ;_;) and the third one against a silver Cammy which was the closest match Ive had in this game.

This game depresses me lol

lol and now i lose to a 500lp Ryu and im down to bronze again. Yeah im done

It would be really nice if I could just search for lobbies in my region. The way it is right now 2/3 of my search results are asian players with terrible connections to Europe. Finding suitable lobbies is nigh impossible like this.

It's infinitely more noticeable when playing as Bison with V-Trigger activated, or with FANG.

Yea I played bison with ryu as dummy on the grid and literally every 3rd or 4th combo would drop. Not ideal. Nash vs Bison also seems to cause a lot of issues.

Hahahahha...yeah that's what I think is what's happening. The salt. Problem is, you have to learn to contain the salt to get better. Now, even with a laggy match, I ride everything out. It teaches me patience, makes me not care about points as much and allows me to enjoy the game more. I still play ranked more serious, but that's because it's a one and done, no room to learn what the player habits are. But ever since ive just mentally dismissed winning and losing, I win a lot more, particularly if I don't face my bad match ups. I went back and forth and kept ranking up and down in gold, but i identified my weakness. All the losses were to Karin and Bison. I even beat a dude 6k lp this morning. So I mainly just get salty now when I get completely dominated and don't know why. As soon as a player gets the better of me, and I understand why I losts, it's an easy pill to swallow in this version of street fighter.

Seriously who's main is Bison and Karin I need some sets!

Trying to invite my friend to a battle lounge is so frustrating. They made their CFN ID 24+ hours ago but aren't showing up in the rival search for either name (CFN ID/PSN ID). If they invite me to a lounge, the invite bounces and connection fails.

I thought this was fixed, too...

Even though the game has still a lot of problems to solve right now, and even though I still quite suck at it, the actual gameplay and mechanics are hard to fault and difficult not to enjoy.
I realized yesterday that I was getting destroyed by a coworker because I was still not playing this game how I should, so when coming back home I studied the frame data and came up with some frame traps for the situations where my friend would always hit a button to stop my clumsy offense, and I worked on some hit confirm situations.
As an intermediate player this is something I've never done on SF4, because my crappy execution always made it so I would spend most of my time in training mode trying to nail those insanely hard combos so as to boost my damage output. Now that the bnbs of most of the cast don't require a life of dedication to reliably use, I can concentrate on the next layer of the game and what a joy it is!
Also, it's really nice having at last an extensive training mode in a Street Fighter game: those wake up and guard recovery record options are boss! Identifying a possible frame trap from the frame data and then being able to easily test it out with different reactions from the opponent helps not-so-good players like me A LOT.

Maybe I'm just really lucky, but I don't think I've seen a single rage quit so far. Maybe it's an American thing? I'm still in the bronze league though.

Been like this since launch for me. Haven't been able to play a single match against any of my friends.

So this KaceyTron person on Twitch, is she really this dumb or just trolling people. Never heard of her before, apparently a LoL streamer?

http://www.twitch.tv/kaceytron/v/47360640

Saw her name a few times in this thread but never bothered to check it out.
People say she's trolling, but in my honest opinion she gets away with her bullshit by saying she's trolling, so I don't like her. Only visited her stream once to see what all the fuzz was about: Boobs, covering half the screen with herself and using a well-known porn site's font for her logo.
