Any Chun-Li players out there having any luck linking b.HP to cr.LP? I read it's supposedly possible, but I'm wondering if that's outdated beta information because I can't get it to work for the life of me due to being pushed back out of range after the b.HP. Am I just terrible? (it's fully likely that I'm terrible).

Thats not possible outside of doing it meaty

edit: actually i dont think its possible at all due to the pushback. You can link a crMK after a meaty bHP or during Vtrigger though.

You can beat normal with pretty much every character by jump kicking, then sweeping. Neutral jumping, then jump kicking seems to confuse them in particular.
 
Stealing each and every damn thing from TheSpiralGuy Ken. Watching the replays on CFN and I'm pretty sure its Julio from Winter Brawl the other day. Anybody know?

If it isn't a Naruto Sexy no jutsu costumemod, he has failed Rainbow Mika and GAF.
 
It's sad that people are now willing to fork out FM to unlock COLORS of all things, FM that can be used towards unlocking new characters. Capcom's plan has worked brilliantly.

Colors should be tied to Character level. Not survival, not FM.

Actually, it's in this order:
Sim, Birdie, Dictator, Fang
Nash, Rashid, Necalli, Chun,
Claw, Cammy, Zangief, Laura,
Karin, Mika, Ryu, Ken.

The problem is Sim, Birdie, and Fang are under represented (few players winning) and the bottom (Laura, Karin, Ryu, Ken) are over represented (lots of players losing).

Great games man! I need to learn the Nash matchup, you've been the first one I've actually played. Had some frames skipping around and it was really tough trying to AA you so I started doing it with the jabs instead. I added you to favorites, let's play again sometime.

This strategy won't work on the last 4 fights on normal unless you're getting lucky with the AIs inconsistency and it just ends up being stuck in braindead mode for those rounds.

I unfortunately haven't been, so I gave up on Normal after finishing Ryu and Ken's.

It worked for me last night with about 6 different characters. Ryu was the only one remotely challenging. Nash, Necalli and Bison especially can't deal with jump in's at all.

Remember to have battle request switched on and have it so that you need to confirm the match. That can bail you out if you're having problems. The only time I recall needing it was on Zangief v Zangief.

I've wasted a bunch of time trying to cheese the AI on several characters. Some, like Rashid, work great but for the most part I can get to round 28 with shitty tactics but then it stops working.
 
My DS4 R2 trigger finally broke the other day...makes sense that SFV would be the one to break it (it was my heavy kick button and I play as Chun-li), its been squeaking for weeks. I was able to open it open it and remove the broken piece and spring and now it's working again, although it doesn't feel as firm but it still works fine.

Luckily my Hori Fighting Commander 4 showed up the next day. I gotta say this pad is incredible...very happy with it. The D-pad is a huge improvement over the DS4's. I can pull off QCF's much more reliably on its default settings.

Ive been going back and forth between my HRAP Kai (buttons were too sticky\spongey anyways) and the DS4...but I think Im done with the stick for now.
 
so finding out the hard way on ranked that I absolutely cannot ever in anyway imaginable even conceive of the idea of being able to beat Ken...

3800 Lp close to gold. I fight either super gold people who are either really good or people who rq'd that high. If I don't fight one of those I fight a super laggy person from fucking sweden or something.

Hey man GGs, sorry it took me a while to reply. You had some pretty good reads on my patterns but you often weren't capitalizing well and instead you went for throws. Shimmies would have gotten me blown the hell up lol. I'm down to play some other time for sure.

I was actually trying to shimmy quite a few times, it would show me with an attack out, but then stop mid attack and show me getting thrown so after a while I gave up on it lol. That teleport is pretty scary, didn't know how to deal with it at all, I got lucky that one time I ex srk right as you vtriggered above me.

I once had a 3 hour session where i went up and down 3800-4000. You'll get your streak man...just keep playing..

Me and rice eater going in right now !!! Lol
 
Got to stage 43 on Hard Survival....Low recovery from the supplements and Birdie reading my inputs and I lose....eff survival fuck I'm salty man....hahahaha

I got a 1800 ultra bronze player when I only had 892 in lp. Like the dude was close to silver. That was the worse matching I ever had. Everything else seems fairish
