Is anyone else having a problem with no favorites showing up under CFN? I've "favorited" around 20 people, and it still shows them as "favorites" (with the star) when I search their Fighter ID or look at them on the ladder, but my Favorites tab just says "No data listed" every time I go into it. I was hoping it was just a server error / refresh thing, but it's been this way for the past 5 days and I have no idea how to fix it. I haven't seen anyone else on GAF or Reddit with the problem either, so I think I screwed this up big somehow.

Hilariously enough, I think the error happened when I was trying to add the tag "Mike Ross" to his fighter ID. Thanks Mike.

Heh, good to know.. As much as I've been bellyaching, the fact that I'm still playing the game this very second is a testament to how fun it is. I just wish I knew how and where to improve.

It's addicting for some reason...i'm not even having fun and i'm still playing >_<

I'm scared to fight people online lol. Probably why I'm still on Survival.

it's just fantasy points. The sooner you take your lumps and go in with goals and objectives other than winning you will begin to improve and play more consistently.

Yes, same is happening to me.

I've yet to see Cammy make this pose. Does she do this as an idle animation or something?

Played Cammy in SF4 (I know, I'm scum--but I started with her back in vanilla when everyone was convinced she was bottom tier). After spending some time with Chun in SFV, I've decided to move on to Mika, my first grappler ever.

I'm having trouble keeping the pressure on after I get a knockdown. Any tips? I keep on wanting to push buttons on their wakeup (like I did with Cammy's mp/hp buttons in SF4 or Chun's cr.jab/b.hp in SFV), but that doesn't really feel like Mika's gameplan. I try to do command throws, but I find myself getting jabbed out of them more often than not. That's probably more of a timing thing than anything. Should I be abusing her j.lk crossup more?

Grapplers are so weird. I can't just push buttons anymore.

It all depends on the opponent. It's much more about conditioning your opponent and also learning tendencies and having a set-up in mind. If they block a lot of your meaty attacks you will need to mix in some throws and grabs. Jab a lot, add some frame traps. j. lk works well when you got them in the corner and after a block string you jump over for a crossup, and then throw them back into the corner. Or just get them into a combo once they expect you to grab.

Necalli's command grab is worthless. I know I've said it before, but I'm saying it again. The damage, the speed, it's got nothing on a regular grab. I've even had regular grabs beat it, after the animation started.
Only the ex version has any value whatsoever.

Had my first dude rage quit on me. Going to save and upload vid to youtube. But where exactly do I share it to report him?

EDIT: Never mind, the video didn't save. :'(

Huh. Going by my profile, my lowest win rate matchups with Vega is against Birdie, Karin, Laura, and Vega himself. Guess I know what characters I need practice against now.

Might as well throw R.Mika on that list because I don't know what my strategy against her should be, either.

Question, why does it feel like Zangief has no.. transitional animations? If that makes sense. Like it always feels like there's a gap in his animations that other characters don't have.

Lol I see that people ragequit to high ranks and move on to casual match.

Saw a dude that was a rage quitter in my chun video lol, rank 110 with 5600 LP.

Scumbag.

I use it as a mixup option once i've conditioned opponents to block with frame traps and meaties, kinda like yun/yangs. That's why it's 8 frames. Its not very fast, and there's no throw/hit invincibility or anything like that so you really just have to make the read. While grabs are 5 frames they can be teched.

New rage quitter found!!!! Romario1802....Salty bitch quit. I don't know where we are posting these rage quitters but someone please do the honors.

But its tech or be thrown yourself in that situation isn't? Doesn't that just add to the value of just doing a regular grab?
I mean, if theres any value to the non ex cg, its the lp variant has more range, slightly, than a regular grab. And thats the only value I've noticed so far

Record it using the Share function and either tweet it to @SFVServer or post on Capcom-Unity.

If your opponent is stand teching every time you're getting into command grab range that means you can easily shimmy and blow him up for it when his tech whiffs. You're not supposed to be using the command grab defensively. You need to condition them to block.

Play a match. Have a relaxing heart attack and calm down for 10 minutes then go again =)

Haha, for real. I don't really get ladder anxiety for SFV like I did for SC2 (which I think mostly grew out of me not finding the game fun), but it does get the heart going. It's kinda funny. Shooters have been my go-to competitive games for so long that I can play them to relax, but the fighting game thing is still new enough to punch up the adrenaline. Even in casual queue. :P

Fucking Birdy in hard survival. Got to 42 with Ken and he dunked me. He doesn't seem as prone to eating m shoryus as the rest of the characters.
