It's about time really. Positive that they're communicating via a direct again, on the other hand I'm not expecting all that much if it's only Wii U and 3DS news. Especially after the leak. But maybe they have some surprises, who knows.

I get Game Freak taking their sweet time, but Capcom actually takes initiative with whatever new things Nintendo is doing. Hell, both MH3U & MH4U lined up nicely with the release of new hardware on Nintendo's end. I wouldn't be shocked if Capcom did the same with MHXU.

Yeah, I was referring to the last "actual" ND back in November last year. Cloud's reveal for Smash Bros. was legendary, but other than that the rest of the Direct was largely forgettable IMO. Aside from Splatoon and SF Zero, I didn't care for the other games mentioned.

Sure you jest, I ordered more RPGs after that Direct than most years in my life.

I mean, they did give us a gameplay trailer of Skyward Sword that even revealed its main theme at GDC in February 2011. It's not far-fetched to hope for a tiny tidbit of Zelda U information in this Direct!

yeah but its been shown before. Its not like they are locking up Zelda info just cause its getting an NX version

I'm not expecting anything big or interesting. We won't see NX, we won't see Zelda (because it's coming out when NX does), and we probably won't even see Pokémon because there was just a Pokémon Direct.

What's left? Federation Force? Amiibo release dates? Style Savvy?

Truth be told, the craziest thing about this is that they're really waiting until the last second for the NX release, that shits coming out soon and they haven't said anything about it.

While I could see Nintendo saving their NX cards for E3, that'd be cutting it a bit too close in terms of getting the hype going.

I dont agree. In todays internet age you dont need the hype build up period for a new system. When its announced and people realize its coming soon, THAT will generate the hype and it will move quickly. If Nything you want a shirter hyoe lead time so people dont get burned out on it. We are just impatient and want to know now. In Junes if NX is revealed, I dont see many people going, 'sorry, I would have bought this if you'd announced it 2 months ago, but now I've moved on." Also if there are innovative ideas you dont want to show Sony and MS sooner than necessary.

Because there HAS to be some new game announcement. There would be no point to a new direct if it were just release dates, otherwise a press release would suffice.
