Since SPM I've wanted a different Paper Luigi game
one where he's the Mysterious Mr. L and the entire game plays with hero tropes for the partners (Luigi is Batman, Lakitu named Lakiluke as a gunslinger, that journalist Koopa, ace detective penguin guy returns, mystic magical girl etc.)
Very unlikely I'd say, since this goes up to summer and those are marked as holidays.

NOA has been very good lately with releases. Europe is still waiting for Yokai Watch and Fire Emblem Fates, not an issue in NA. Very hopeful for Dragon Quest and #FE news. At this point it's possible that nobody publishes more JRPG's in the West than Nintendo. That's crazy when you think of the situation on the Wii (but not DS) last gen in NA specifically.
Also, I bet that NOE leak is legit because the leak had Lost Reavers.

Not at all. Sure, we've had an (underwhelming) E3 and three directs (beginning in 2015, would have been more accurate to say "12 months" on my part). Nintendo's investor's meetings have been more exciting than what PR has been feeding us lately. They have dodged every question about the truly exciting things like NX, mobile games, and expanding IPs. We have almost no idea what's in the pipeline for them in the later half of 2016, which is merely 4 months away.
Compare that to Sony and Microsoft who are very open to what to look forward to and consistent updates on their bigger projects set for this year

I think this is the first time my level of hype for a Direct is zero. We won't have NX and probably nothing about Zelda Wii U either.

Based on the announcement it'll basically be that, yes. But you see how it is.
We didn't know that SNES was coming to 3DS VC, we didn't know about the Star Fox first print edition, we didn't know that MonHun X would be called Generations in the west. If this leak is real, that is.

Well they started working on these characters months ago so I would imagine the amiibo production couldn't have begun too long after that.
