Nintendo's calling it Zelda: SoS because they need help
Step up your game Joe.
Not at all. Sure, we've had an (underwhelming) E3 and three directs (beginning in 2015, would have been more accurate to say "12 months" on my part). Nintendo's investor's meetings have been more exciting than what PR has been feeding us lately. They have dodged every question about the truly exciting things like NX, mobile games, and expanding IPs. We have almost no idea what's in the pipeline for them in the later half of 2016, which is merely 4 months away.
Compare that to Sony and Microsoft who are very open to what to look forward to and consistent updates on their bigger projects set for this year
New 3DS now is a thingRetro said it probably wouldn't be possible technically. And that's really not surprising considering they couldn't even port Returns without making sacrifices. I'd be all for porting it to NX though, more people need to play it.

Meh. Can't be arsed.
I'm just not buying it since this is a worldwide Direct and much of that is out in Japan already and the rest is already known as coming (aside the SNES VC stuff)
Remember when NOE used to get everything late?
It's possible.
Reggie Fils-Aime said:We do not plan on revealing any information today regarding NX. But we look forward to sharing more details with you in the near future.
I don't see how that is germane to the point that this is a worldwide Direct and the fact Nintendo Directs always have a game announcement.
I kind of think so. It would be nice.Rösti;197362529 said:I wonder if they will even acknowledge NX during the broadcast. Something like this maybe:
Are they really supposedly announcing SNES VC capability for the 3DS?
If so, where did this rumor originate?
I hope Reggie licks his lips, looks into the camera with moist eyes, and punctuates all of his sentences with various hand gestures.
Time for some Zelda info right?

I don't understand people asking for Zelda footage.
We all know full well that's going to be a E3 reveal.

Sure, but not everyone does.Don't think they will. Doesn't add anything to the broadcast and we all know that we're getting info soon.
Because Yokai Watch and Fire Emblem Fates are new for Europe. You know they'll be in the European direct, doesn't matter that it's a worldwide event. If you're hoping for big news, I am too, but let's see.
I'm honestly expecting Miitomo news despite the Wii U/3DS focus. I don't care for mobile, but it's something people are forgetting. It launches this month.
God how long have we known about the NX at this point officially? feels like forever and considering it seems to be the only thing a big group of people care about maybe it was a bad idea to mention it as early as Nintendo did
Slim to none I'd say. Why not just show stuff the other day if you wanted to show stuff?

Now that we basically know Zelda NX is a thing

This is true, and Reggie has stated as such. However, no matter what way you spin it, Sony's 2015 E3 press conference was the stuff of legends, and it was done with announcing games everybody that get people excited (even if they were 1+ years away). I think there are times that call for holding your secrets close, and times when you have to just unload all your ammo. Nintendo has done a little too much of the former in my book.Nintendo has only revealed near-term stuff with few exceptions for a few years now. It's just what they do. What I gather is you want them to tease/reveal projects that are 1+ year away, like microsoft/sony do? Where you end up with situations like last guardian (going quiet for years) and phantom dust (revealed prematurely so it gets cancelled). There are pros and cons to both approaches but just because nintendo isn't talking about stuff that is 9+ months away (usually) doesn't mean they're being 'quiet' - it just means they're focusing and talking about more near-term stuff. Less exciting, i guess?
Is anyone even hype for this?
I'm not: it will just be a laborius overlong demo of already announced 3ds games and wii u games I have little to no interest in, I expect no new announcements or any mention of the zelda game everyone is waiting for.
Unfortunately for Nintendo that requires people to be interested in what they have currently revealed, lol.For the same reason you watch a new trailer of a thing you've seen other trailers before.
I want them to drop that Direct onto YouTube out of nowhere and make the internet go crazy.
I hope Reggie licks his lips, looks into the camera with moist eyes, and punctuates all of his sentences with various hand gestures.
Morimoto is presenting the Direct in Japan, Shibata in Europe.
Lol Kimishima probably won't have any presence in Directs. It looks like Reggie/Bill and Shibata will solely take care of Directs outside of Japan. While that Morimoto guy will replace Iwata in Japan full-time.
So, not sure if that #NintendoDirect 'leak' is real, but the person behind it is a legit source who could possibly have that kind of access.
Except by the time being is absolute bullshit because Nintendo never said such, and until they come out and say it's a thing it's still absolute bullshit.
