Don't even joke about that. You might speak that garbage into existence.
It'll even have an Xbox One promotional tie-in. Lots of Doritos and Mountain Dew.

Found an unlisted video on Sony's YouTube page where Feig is talking about the in movie technology

Well unlike some other people it wasn't a bad horrible awful trailer. It was "eh". I laughed at some parts, thought the ghosts looked neat but ultimately I wasn't wowed. I want it to be a good movie because I like some of the actresses, but based in this it's not the kind of movie I'd jump to go see in theater.Yeah, but I think it did a fine job, even though it wasn't joke heavy. It showed us the setting, introduced most of the characters and let us know a little bit what the plot is about. And this is only the first trailer, so we're definitely gonna see a bit more later on. /shrug It's not the best trailer but it's far from the trash people love talking about it.
No matter what you think about this reboot, the original is still intact.
BTW, they move into or recruit Kate's character at the Firehouse at some point, you can see the interior of it in this shot...

I had all this shit as a kid. In fact, thats probably why I loved Ghostbusters so much - because I played with all the toys.
yes, but why not make a good movie from the original. Star wars shows it can be done for the most part.
Just gotta hire the right people I guess. I'd love a good ghostbusters dont get me wrong but this screams lack of creativity and understanding.
Oh well, I will probably watch it but looks like I wont like most of it. Hopefully something in there ineteresting to see.
Yikes the like and dislike numbers are neck and neck
I think a remake was an impossible task to really get it right.
The original fans have been teased with a sequel with the original cast for like 15 years, and built their expectations on that.
It's like getting teased with a new conker game and getting Young Conker and the Conker game on Spark instead of a new Conker game.
No matter how good it is, you were expecting something else, so the new one is a letdown because it isn't whatever you expected (good luck pinning that down to a consistency for everyone anyway).
Even if it had 4 dudes in it, I think many people would find something to complain about. The only way to make it work with a new cast that wouldn't get people disappointed would have it be a pass the torch movie with the originals effectively hiring the new group.
Half 'n half. I'm expecting cameo gags.
I thought that music was hype. Was expecting worse, but I'll catch this on Netflix for sure.![]()
Looks fun; the time square sequence looks really cool and tickles the 10 year old horror fan inside me.
But the jokes fell flat on me... they were kind of simple? It continues the trend of not actually having any one liners or gags, just awkward conversations between awkward people (which are almost always drawn out to an uncomfortable length of time).
I seriously hope you said this line about light sabers or star trek phasers.
Look how far computers have come in 30 years. From room filling to the palm of your hand which are thousands of times more powerful.
They still use their proton packs so it looks like the smaller weapons may just be ones that weaken the ghosts before they use the proton packs to 'lasso' them to trap them.
The whole trick to trapping ghosts, which was expanded upon a lot in the game which was supposed to be GB3 story, is that you have to weaken them before you can trap them. In the first film they tire out slimer before finally being able to grab him.
Looks ok, a redband trailer with some potty mouth would be a huge improvement
I can't believe the negativity in this topic. Well, actually I can, but it's still surprising that it feels so one sided. Nobody liked the trailer, honestly? It felt like more ghostbusters to me, and that rules.
Bustin' makes me feel good!

McKinnon looks funny, at least. And the effects are fun.
So is this NOT a hard reboot anymore? Or is the trailer just super-misleading with the "30 Years Ago" thing.
This movie's gonna be waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than this trailer. Kristin, Kate, Melissa and Leslie... what could go wrong tbh
McKinnon looks funny, at least.
If they remade Charlie's Angel to be 4 dudes. Yeah that would be retarded, but they could do it, but I would care more about if it was fun or not.
Holy wow that looks awful
way to ruin a great franchise hollywood...
And Maddox has his take:

Yeah...
I think a remake/reboot could actually work. If you look at the Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon, that shows how it could work. And that show was surprisingly pretty good. You bring back one of the Ghostbusters (Ray in this case) and have him as a mentor and it would justify having a younger cast. Other than the fact that the cast just isn't funny, I think they're too old for the part.
They made one great Ghostbusters movie. It's not like this is Indiana Jones or some shit.way to ruin a great franchise hollywood...
Why do people act as if the other two movies are somehow erased or worsened by this one? I don't understand this mindset

Yeah, whoever stuck that bit into the trailer messed up. It antagonizes those who are already prone to hate it and confuses whether this this is a sequel or a reboot. Unnecessary padding when they should have just let the concept hold its own.
a redband trailer for a pg-13 movie? so like the only two utterances of "shit" in the entire movie and *maybe* a "fuck"? cursing won't save this trailer.
