You forgot that Spengler fucked with the slime from the second one.No Venkman doesn't make a snot joke about ectoplasm. No there's isn't a cunnilingus joke implied when Egon comes up from under Janine's desk. No there's not a scene where Ray gets his fuckin dick sucked by a ghost. That's just lowbrow stuff that they put in this new movie, my Ghostbusters was never this crude.
He only did Garfield because he thought it was a Coen brothers movie.Garfield 1 & 2 say hi!
Here is some speculation about the story:
Since there are some particle physics and some time travel in the trailer, maybe the original Ghostbusters and the new Ghostbusters are in separate time lines and they cross in the movie. That would be a great way to do the cameos of the older actors.

So they'll Star Trek 2009 it?

You could even have the exact same damn setup if you just made her a damn engineer instead of "person who works at the subway station." Her in could STILL be knowing the lay of the city better than the rest of them while lacking the greater pool of paranormal knowledge. Plus she could actually contribute to refining and perfecting the equipment the team had already built. Basically taking care of the practical issues on the team while the rest took care of the ethereal.
But no, they're the smart ones when it comes to science and she knows New York.
It gets more infuriating the more I think of it.
I was just citing the original but you're absolutely right, it's inferred that both Egon and Ray have been fucking the mood slime in GBII.You forgot that Spengler fucked with the slime from the second one.
The old movies are full of these.
The actual rolls of the cameos have already been revealed. The original characters are not going to be in this movie. The most recent interview with Feig from like, today, even confirms this is unquestionably a reboot and not some sort of sequel. Here is some speculation about the story:

Wasn't he contractually obligated to do the sequel? Not that I don't think he wouldn't love the paycheck but I thought there was some other reason too.Well, at least that's what he says. Given that he stayed for Garfield 2, maybe he just found the paycheck appealing.

Here's the trailer for the first Ghostbusters.
If this is Feig's idea of funny improv then this movie is doomed, that was the worst part of the trailer.

"Improv was a key component to the original's success, and it will be for Feig's film. The director and his co-writer discussed how they kept the comedy "fresh" on set, relying on Dippold writing alternate lines on Post-Its and passing them to Feig as they shot, which he would then call-out to the actors on set. That is how one of the trailer's biggest laughs, "the power of Patty compels you!", came to be. This process allowed Feig to "capture that sense of lightning in a bottle," which the filmmakers stressed was key to good comedy.".
Okay, I just yelled "what" out loud at the blatant ignoring Ernie Hudson at the end.
Starring: white people!
And to think Hudson is actually a fun actor to watch too.
Other than that, it sold me on Bill Murray, possibly some ghostbuster friends of his.
also that full-on showing the ending, haha
Getting slimed is all over GB2, I actually think it's overdone in that once they get the "slime cannons". But I love that part in GB2 where Egon admits to making love to the slime.
This trailer might just seem worse partially because it's just one slapstick moment after another. The originals had slapstick moments, but we're not slapstick movies. This could be true of this movie too, but you just can't tell because the trailer is missing any of the downtime and subtler moments.
But still, the fact Feig even considered that guy improv and suggested it is pretty telling don't you think?

He's not on the poster, box, or in any of that informative fine print on movie posters either.

Ernie Hudson gets no love. Here's the trailer for the first Ghostbusters.
That all caps tweet is pretty much the way I expect Leslie Jones to tweet.
She even tweets loud.
I like her.
The character still comes off as token though. I can see why people would be upset.
Everyone in the fucking movie is a comedian. I'm not complaining about the jokes (which, I admit, I don't like) in thar post. I'm complaining about the character being the only fucking person on the team who doesn't have some kind of expertise AND the film having the fucking gall to have her cite her fucking "street smarts" as compensation for her lack of scientific accumen.
Fuck this movie and I hope it fucking bombs.
So you didn't read her response to complaints like yours?
Yep. It really doesn't matter overall.I spn't twitter well, but having scrolled further.
I don't give a shit that she doesn't understand why this is a fucking travesty.
We should all tweet her why she is stupid to love this role so much that she actually goes out and responses to the people who bash the movie without having seen it.
The really funny thing about this is that the original in all of its 1980s pre-giving a fuck about racism was totally less offensive than this. Winston was the "normal everyman" in the crew to contrast how crazy the other 3 were. There was no mention of street smarts or anything lol. His purpose was to literally be the average joe.
Yeah that is ridiculous, absolutely not point in jumping on her for it, her choice if she wishes to be happy with the role and what it represents. Attacking her for it is accomplishing nothing.
If people don't like the movie or what certain aspects represent then don't go and see it, speak with the wallet.
