Man, I'm working but all I can think about is this game... :|

Can't wait to get home and play it. There just SO MUCH CONTENT omfg.

Edit: haha nice to see I'm not the only one! :p

At work thinking about you :(

latest

I know... 6 more hours...

So in the DZ the enemies are on the landmark areas for the most part right? You kill them they drop items and extract to my understanding, only don't it for 20 mins but only found 2 enemies

purple landmarks have enemies spawned. gray landmarks are empty.

there are also random enemy patrols walking around.

contaminated zones have crates you can open

Sorry I wasn't being clear. I'm level 13 and have been messing around in the dark zone. Should I delay leveling up since once you are level 15 you are in a different dark zone grouping?

Yeah, does anyone know exactly how it works? Are you locked from entering lower bracket area?

its really annoying the crates require like 30DZ rank and I am level 14 so I cant open any crates :(

the crates that need keys need rank 30

the medium crates don't need keys and can be just opened.

btw, do people enjoy when I post my little screens?
I know they are pretty low quality imgur screen but it's fun setting them up for you guys

I am in the same boat. I just want to get home and play some more. Although yesterday I was with nodisplay and TheApatheticOne in the DZ and couldn't extract my loot for some reason. That was annoying.

Man I jumped into Dark Zone yesterday for the first time to just mess around at level 11, and the NPCs absolutely destroyed me. They really ramped up the difficulty of NPCs since the betas. The closed beta felt too easy, and the open beta felt borderline too tough (to solo, fine in group play), but I honestly can't see how anyone can effectively solo the DZ now. Maybe getting to level 14 will have some effect, but I was rolling with just shy of 5k health, about 2500 into Arms and 1600 in skill, and I was just getting absolutely wrecked by the very first group of purples by the entrance.

I'll be kinda bummed if they made it so that group play is effectively required in DZ. I liked the idea of being able to group up or go at it solo if I was feeling frisky.

I just have to share this :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXG9MBmt1CU

Did some DZ with a few friends last night, as soon as we load in there's a battle between a bunch of agents and AI. Four rogue agents are trying to extract and everyone was trying to stop them. Finally this group of 4 rogues decide to bail to save their loot, and so we follow them :D We pick a few off and the rest run for the other extraction point to call in a helicopter. We kill the rest, steal their loot, then helicopter they called in lands and we get clubbed to death by AI haha! Did manage to extract the loot though!

SO FUCKING GOOD

Awesome video! Nice to see some Destiny GAF guys kicking ass in the DZ. I'm a day behind and just got to rank 5 (not DZ) last night so I've got some catching up to do.

Are people mostly selling gear or deconstructing? I have been deconsturcting everything to get mats for when I hit level 30. I'm 22 and have 45K credits without ever selling anything.

I'd love to hear from someone that has been selling, and if they think that's better. To me it seems like mats are more valuable than credits.

I sell everything. Gimme the money!

3rd party sites are selling UPlay keys cheaper than buying from Steam itself. Question is .. will there be a difference by getting it directly off Steam (or steam key) or getting a UPlay key?

No. Might make it a slight bigger hassle to show you're in game to friends, but that's about it.

You are not. I am taking my time and just exploring the city. It has so much to see and especially at times to hear. I love walking close to a building and hearing an NPC saying thank you, you then look around and don't see anyone until you look up and there is someone sticking their head out of the window talking to you. Stuff like this and the quality of banter in some of the hidden cell phone messages and other things like it are very impressive.

Then you have the Loot crates that are scattered everywhere and you see them in your radar and then have to figure out where and how to get to them. I am only level 5 and was wandering the streets and found a crate that was inside a fenced area. I could see a ladder on a back wall, but it was inside the fence. I had to go from roof top to roof top, up and down a few ladders to finally find my way into that area and ended up with a blue armor item, which for level 5 you don't get a lot of blue's out of a crate.

Also found a neat office building that had about 6 different rooms to explore and never noticed this in the beta, but it seems like some hidden drawers you have to press "X" a few times because it has more than one loot item in it. Did not see that at all in the beta. There are just a lot of things to do and find in the game that makes it a lot of fun. I know a lot of folks are into power leveling and will never see this stuff, but I don't play these kind of games or even on PC MMO's, I usually love to explore and find things while leveling as I come across fights/missions etc.

Amazing! ♥ this fucking game

After playing the betas solo, I finally played last night with 2 friends doing missions. Huge difference. I love solo play most of the time, but I think I've been missing out on this co-op stuff. Love this game. Nice to know the same bug regarding the Chelsea upload the virus side quest is still there.

How do you get a different level filtered mask? Im level 12 and basically have all blue gear, but my mask is still lvl 1.

Upgrade your medical wing. One of the upgrades is 200 supplies and it up's your protection level by one. Another upgrade is 500 supplies and ups it by one also.

Basically, for 700 supplies you can quickly get your protection to level 3.

Yep. I know the comparisons are only skin deep (or "loot-deep"?) but this stuff is the reason the Division is laying Destiny down and
curb stomping its brains out for me. (Pardon the gratuitous image. Destiny remains the only thing i have ever truly regretted buying and i'm still salty. I'm in utter joy at how TD is fulfilling its promises.)

So what's the deal with the skill part of your stats. Every high level screenshot I see has your skill points DRASTICALLY lower then health and dps. What does high skill do?

One more zone to complete, and I will have completed the entire upper part of the map.

Sitting at level 16. Time to take a little break.

Kk thank you

@yopis mostly did it with a group of just me and an irl friend of mine, we would matchmake for fun on and off for some missions

I should probably mention that I went into this game with 0 expectations, didn't even play beta, went in with a WoW serious mentality and I actually really enjoy it, reforging items, hard mode is actually hard etc love it all so far
Trading coming soon is sick as well

Agreed with everything! :D

But that thing of more than one loot in a drawer never happened to me, maybe it's just a glitch?

Just got a message from the wife that the game has finally been delivered. Just an hour left at work and I can finally play the damn thing... just in time for everyone to be level 30 and I have to group with randoms.

Bugger.

Chose not to be an ass and take my teammate's stuff while still in the group after they died like a previous teammate did to me. Bastard took my keys and some hot pants. Wanted those pants. :(

Unfortunately, the teammate whose stuff I didn't take left before reclaiming it. Picked it up once he left. Got at least one key back. Also, fuck extracting shit alone. That parking lot is a fucking kill zone with all those ads.

Managed to get my guy to DZ level 11 in an hour.

Ain't touching DZ without a stable group. coughcoughSushiNoomicoughcough

Currently level 14 and just taking my sweet ass time. Got a few friends already over 20. Not in a rush to hit 30.

Yeah I'm really enjoying the exploration in this game. Definitely feel like being able to solo nearly everything helps too.

Also as much as I think most people including myself didn't take much of a liking to watch_dogs it seems a lot of the lessons that learned in making navigating rooftops and urban areas got carried over. If anything those were the interesting parts because it's part platforming, part exploration, part puzzle.

Call her and tell her to put that shit in to be installed and downnload all the patches so you don't have to wait 2h when you get home to play. Also, don't worry, not everyone is lvl 30, there are literally hundreds of thousands of people just scratching the surface.

One curious thing I've noticed from most streamers is that almost all of them just hold the trigger down until the clip is empty. Their actual DPS would be much higher if they just let go of the trigger and burst fired.
