Hillary:"Where was Bernie when I got healthcare in 93?" Right there, she thanked him

What are the chances of these circumstances happening? She forgets he not only supported her... he was LITERALLY right behind her. Hahahaha

If Bernie Sanders was standing right behind Hillary Clinton, why does he try to position her as being against universal healthcare every chance he gets? Could it be, possibly, a dishonest attack?

That's what she meant with the line. Not that Bernie Sanders literally wasn't there.
We all read the same thing you did and you're the only one getting that out of it.

Bernie playing the long game posing for pics all throughout his life

This is funny.

Not a bad response from her campaign:

"Clinton was out in front. Sen Sanders was in the background. She was the one who took the slings & arrows of the hc industry"
Yeah that's pretty good spin.

Remember this is why Republicans initially hated Hillary. Oh boy did they rake her through the coals.

The response from Bernie:

ma0RjR.gif

lol

If that's what she meant she needs a refresher course on getting the point across cuz man she blew it.

Or maybe she simply has to write speeches while remembering idea that any single sentence can be removed from its context unfairly by someone on Twitter?

seriously.

I mean if trump is the nominee i will for the first time in my life vote democrat, even if the DNC rolls out the ghost of jimmy carter just so trump doesnt get in. But it would be nice to have at least halfway intelligent person that isn't constantly shooting themselves in the foot.
Jimmy Carter was a great President. Don't let revisionist history warp your perspective.

Not only the first lady, but the head of the health care task force, appointed by her husband. It would have been impossible for anyone else to be out front, because it was engineered to highlight Hillary's capabilities for her future political career.

That's the only reason I kind of give her the benefit of the doubt with her response to the statement. She WAS the one in the foreground in those days, and Bernie was a supporter. I'm really not looking forward to 4-8 years of "what she meant to say was..." because she's so bad at articulating her message.

Get your shit together Hillary.

But, Carter was a decent pres...

Like I said back in the Reagan/AIDS thread... lol wtf Hillary?

Less than 48 hours and Hillary fuck up in the most stupid ways possible. Yeah Bernie has my vote; I'm off the fence.

I think all those YAAAAAS QUEEN memes went to her head. She probably considered him a nobody back in the nineties and here we are with Bernie winning the tug-o-war of values (not the popular vote or delegate count though) and making her react to everything.

Hilarious

Bernie's the nerdy kid in high school who sat one desk behind Hillary for four years but she just never noticed. It's like a love story in the making.

I think what amazes me the most with a lot of the candidates is that despite that large amounts of money that are being sunk into these campaigns, their staff still can't do a better job catching glaring oversights or questionable statements.

Like anyone here remembers every person who was standing by them 22 years ago.

The people changing their votes because of this are funny.

I dont remember letters i wrote my wife in the past ten years. Why am i supposed to?

Well, for one: You're not running for president as someone already said.

For another: You're not running for president and trying to tank your opponent as someone that wasn't there for things you say they weren't.

#whoops?

You can always tell a Milford man, "neither seen nor heard"

lol

I dunno, are you running for president, and peddling some bullshit against someone you supposedly respected?

Or have people on staff that you're paying to watch through old CSPAN tapes to research your own material or your opponents? I simply refuse to believe that she doesn't have people watching through all her old speeches and everything else and taking notes for all of it. Nobody overlooks that kind of due diligence when running for President.

I'm going to just assume that somebody in the small army of Clinton's campaign knew about this but it just got lose in the noise somewhere...on top of her forgetting about it which resulted in all this.

What are you basing this off of, ESP?

Reasons why people dont vote for ted cruz? He hates gays

Reasons why people dont vote for hillary? She doesnt know who stood behind her in the early 90s.

I'm voting for whomever is the democratic candidate, but that doesn't mean I can't be disappointed in either of them, for any damn reason.

"I don't know where xxxx was when xxxxxxx happened, but...." is relatively common idiomatic phrasing often used to suggest that someone has some kind of perception problem or that they are out of touch with an obvious reality.

To read it as sincere question about his location or support is kind of disingenuous. But that's politics I suppose.
