The problem is that so much of Bernie's supporters are coming from months upon months of painting Hillary as the absolute devil. When you've been spending all this time pouring your heart and soul into a candidate and hating the other one with every fiber of your being, it becomes tough to switch.

People rail against rhetoric, but they have to realize that they've been the victims of rhetoric just as much as anyone else.

lol, CNN more interested in being able to jump to Trump at any moment than showing Sanders. Even I think that's a bit rude.

wtf was the Kasich confetti? That was some massively grandiose stuff.

Watching Bernie's speech right now. Not sounding like he's getting ready to drop out.

I think to some extent he just wants to push the democratic party in his direction. It would be wise to stay in until at least NY if that's part of his ambitions. And given his strength with voters 45 & under, I think there's definitely a case to be made that the party is moving away from Hillary and toward Bernie, even if it's too soon for Bernie to get the nomination.

Not voting against the guy who wants to ban all Muslims from entering the US because a left-wing candidate lost to a slightly less left-wing candidate is fucking ridiculous. Seriously, this shit isn't a game.

No, it's not. But if you think an actual ban on Muslims would pass constitutional muster, well, I don't know what to tell you.

I really wish Hillary would just sweep and then maybe, just maybe some Bernie supporters would come back to Earth and see reality. Who am I kidding though?

but what is reality in this case? how does one get over the fact that hillary seems to outright lie constantly? that's the hurdle I need to get over before I vote for anyone in the election. if its trump vs hillary I will probably sit at home instead. I like 'her' policies but I have a very hard time believing she actually cares in any significant way and realistically speaking I don't think there will be much progress in any direction whatsoever, whether because of her or her + a congress that apparently hates her.

and while yes, I like bernies messages, I think rather than him winning the most important thing has been the exposure he has been able to give on the issues, because those are what truly matter. there needs to be more attention brought to the things he is saying and in that he has been fairly successful, after this election I doubt people will simply forget his messages and so to me it's already a win for people who believe in progress in those areas.

but back to my main question - how do you justify trusting hillary? I don't feel particularly well informed in any way, despite trying to keep somewhat up to date.

Good to see Bernie taking the high road and attacking Hillary non-stop.

Sweet to hear. Glad his loser ass is going to fracture the party on his way out.

Yikes. Living in a parliamentary democracy this sort of talk sounds like dictatorship mentality.

What's ironic is voting like that only works in parliamentary systems. Our system is zero sum; one or the other, closest to you.

Anything else is just voting for the one least like you by omission.

"We don't win anymore. We lose. We keep losing. We don't make any deals. That deal in Iran? Worst deal in the history of the country. We have to go in an make dat deal. We have to destroy ISIS. Remember that ISIS? They keep decapitating our people's head. We need to bomb them. Bomb Isis. Bomb the oil. Take the oil! We need to make deals again. When you go to China, you have to come back with a deal. When I'm president of the United States, we will win again. We will win, and win, and win. We will win so much you'll get sick of all the winning. And I will turn to you and refuse to stop winning so much! America will be great again. It will be greater than it ever was!"

Here, spoiled it for. Maybe add some ramble about mexio wall, muslim hate and such.

You forgot snake story and bashing on Christie/Rubio/Cruz/Jeb. Yeah, he still beats on Jeb for some reason.

mathematically anyone can win the race since no one has a majority. i'm saying it's just a dumb statement by itself.

Mathimaticaly Biden could join the race and win the rest of the primaries at 100% thus securing the nomination (unless there's a rule about doing so, but that's besides th e point I'm trying to make).

People aren't saying it's mathimaticaly impossible, they're saying it's very statistically improbable, which anyone who has taken a statistics course will tell you they're basically the same thing.

Is it possible to roll a twelve sided die five times in a row and have it be a 1 every time? Sure. But the changes are so near zero percent it may as well be impossible.

Watching Bernie's speech right now. Not sounding like he's getting ready to drop out.

I don't expect him to. At the same time I don't think he cares that much about the nomination. I don't think he cares about the democratic party in general either. He has a bully pulpit right now and he's using it to push what he wants. One he's never had before and I expect him to keep using it as much as possible because once this is done he's done for good for the most part. He's very likely burned a lot of people in the Dem party leadership. When Hillary hopefully wins the election he's very likely not getting any position of power. If the Senate gets taken back he's very likely not getting anything there either.

Oh man, Sanders is going after Hillary's transcripts on that stream on a total meltdown. You are really desperate now that your campaign is dead, aren't ya buddy?

Bernie should stick around if only to present at the debates. Though in the future I hope he reads less off his stump speech after every question.

I know. It just seems weird to me you'd write off a whole party just based on not liking the leader.

To all Bernie Sanders supporters. Did you know that Sanders won Michigan was due to Muslims and Arabs voting for Bernie in Dearborn, MI?

So for the love of all the minorities, women, blacks, Hispanics, Jews, and especially Muslims in the USA. Please vote for Democrats and not waste your vote. Some nations dream about their vote to count for something big. We have that here in the USA. So don't waste on piety politics that will take this amazing country for everyone here down to a dark path and waste the last 50 years of progress to equality for all.

So if Trump wins, and it looks like he is going to win, I wonder if the Republican Party will embrace his tactics and become outspokenly racist, xenophobic, (even more) anti-Muslim. Or will they resist him even if he's a republican president? The thing is, they already are all those things, but will they still try to be somewhat pc or just say fuck it?

He turned what was looking super bleak for him into a night where he shows that all is not lost. A lot is lost, but not all!

All is lost. Lol you guys. pretending somehow Hillary's gigantic leads in the south somehow don't matter. She won Florida by 30 fuckin points!

No, it's not. But if you think an actual ban on Muslims would pass constitutional muster, well, I don't know what to tell you.
Voting in the guy who calls for the ban legitimizes the rhetoric. Think very seriously about the message it sends to Muslims AND the people who hate Muslims.

Yep, one of the worst part of primaries because then it calms down and gets pointed towards the other party.

The supporters have been doing more of the fighting this cycle, compared to the candidates. I thought Clinton and President Obama were way harder on each other in 2008. I still remember the meltdowns over saying they would never vote for him.

I expect some meltdowns tonight, but people will chill out over the next couple weeks.

Yeah i'm scared to say anything.

If anyone says something good about Trump I see them banned a few minutes later.

If you support a racist, hatemongering, homophobic, sexist, violent, cowardly piece of shit like Trump, there's not a whole lot one can say in support of him that wouldn't get someone banned.

I think it's funny how people attribute her perceived lack of being trustworthy and genuine (very real sentiments) to a GOP smear campaign. Just the past few days alone with the AIDS and health care things are two examples of why she's unlikeable or not charismatic. Bernie absolutely seems to come across with more passion and consistency. The Kissinger praise alone is enough to frighten the hell out of me on her foreign policy.

I also agree with the exposure being key for Bernies ideas.

You seriously think that isn't out of the question with a tea-party controlled congress, and multiple supreme court justices chosen by Donald Trump?
