The race is at the point where she can safely ignore him though.

Not if she wants his supporters' votes in the general.

I don't think there's that much threat of Bernie supporters voting for Trump in the general, but they could just not show up and that would be very dangerous when Trump's potential turnout in November is a huge wild card.

This will be a day long remembered. It has seen the end of Rubio, it will soon see the end of the Revolution.

The fact that Hillary crushed it in Ohio and Drumpf lost to John Kasich would make me feel very unsettled if I were a Republican.

Ohio is the mother of all battleground states.

And didn't Hillary end up with more votes than Trump in Florida tonight? Has to be scary too as there just aren't too many paths for the GOP without FL and/or OH.

Well if your going to use this logic, don't bother complaining if Trump wins because guess what? The people voted him in and that must mean that they liked him better!

That's exactly right.

If Trump wins the General Election, it means that, within the rule set for our elections, he has own the election -- up to and possibly including the popular vote.

That has fuck all to do with complaining, so I have no idea what your point was.

No, it means enough horrible people voted for him in numbers to outpace people who were busy slap boxing on the internet instead of actually voting.

The masses who vote for Trump are the people who actually believe in him though, its not the crazy Bernie fans. Besides, no one should feel obliged to vote for Clinton just because she is better than Trump. If I was American, I would just write in Sanders.... or maybe Frank Underwood. Though the latter would probably be counted as a Clinton vote.

Trump lost against the very popular sitting governor of Ohio. He was still way ahead of Cruz (36% vs 13%).

For that reason, It's not exactly an analogous situation to his effortless victory over Marco, or (for other reasons) Hillary's effortless victory over Bernie.

In agreeing with a human meme generator, you seem to have lost the thread of conversation.

One outlet did a story indicating that Trump has never actually used a computer, including his smartphone.

There was a NYT story where the reporter witnessed him tweeting on a smartphone though, so not all hope is lost!

After a few minutes, I saw Trump staring down into a phone glowing up into his shiny face. I checked my phone, too. ‘‘Speech in Dallas went really well,’’ it said in my Twitter feed, courtesy of @realDonaldTrump, who was tweeting next to me in the dark.

Is anyone else looking forward to Hillary v Donald in the general debates? If they pick equally spicey VPs then this will be hands down the most entertaining election ever.

If you are a Democrat, or at all care for the future of the country particularly when looking at the SCOTUS, you vote for the Democratic candidate unless they have a dead baby in the trunk driving under the influence while sniffing bath salts and eating the brains of Ronald Reagan.

Closed primaries meant independents (among whom Trump has done very well) were left out in the cold.

Different story in the GE.

Well, uh, yeah? That is how democracy works?

I won't be complaining, I'll be too busy moving.

Trump still hasn't used his trump card : he will promise a one-term presidency

He will get everything done on time and under budget

The people that are with trump are everyday working class people.

I'm actually happy about that. His views are disgusting, but it's always sad to see an old person left behind by technology.

I can understand wanting Clinton as president in today's political climate, but still, reading comments like these are sad to read.

Is it inaccurate? Where was the kind of turnout Bernie needed?

While I can only ask that people vote, because turning out helps ensure your demographic is listened to and courted by political candidates even if your favored candidate loses...

Writing in a candidate is stupid. You can't pick a lesser of two evils? You can't look at Clinton and Trump and their positions and decide which one sounds less offensive to you?

I'm not going to tell you who to pick. But pick one. If you're an angry Sanders fan. Vote Trump. Do it. You have every right. Better that than literally throw your vote away.

The sooner y'all stop thinking about a ill-defined revolution and start listening when people point out policy flaws, the sooner we can actually get those things started.

This could have been a significantly different story without a terribly run campaign and without frustrating the technocrat side of the Democrat coalition early into the race, IMO.

Well Clinton and her fellows still buy into that trickle-down nonsense, so the ghost of Reagan is very much strong.

Though to be fair, I am not even American. I would just like our southern brothers to have access to basic human rights that their government denies them.

That's a straight-up lie.

Looking very forward to Trump v. Clinton debates.

But on the campaign trail, Clinton will have 3 not so secret weapons.

One is her husband.

The other two...

Obama should have gotten a 3rd term.

OR

Uncle Joe should have run.

I wonder if Obama is going to give a speech at the convention, maybe a little pay back for the one Hillary gave for him

Polling shows that the threat of Bernie supporters just bailing out of the election is minimal and the majority of the party is fine with either Hillary or Bernie.

Or not?

We're making progress gradually.

No, Clinton actually made fun of trickle down economics in one of her last Town Halls.

Erm. What?

Bill Clinton increased taxes on the rich and helped bring about a yearly surplus. That's a fucking fact.

Do you actually believe what they tell you on reddit?

I don't know, maybe it's not accurate, and maybe it can't be measured just by how many people turned out for him or from Bernie not winning. Certainly Bernie made a lot of progress in spreading a more socialist message and he held his own considering. It just seems like some of you don't just root for Hillary, you cheer against everything Sanders stands for and has done.

You can think or say what you want. I'm glad Bernie Sanders ran, I think what he did will having a lasting effect on the party in the long run. Nah there is no numbers to show that, but I like what I saw this election from the Democratic side.
