US - PSN FLASH SALE

How do the rayman games hold up ? I've only played Origins and Legends and really liked both

Rayman 2 is absolutely amazing (in my top 10 games of all time), though the PS1 version is the gimped version.

Play it on something else if you can, though I am gonna try out the PS1 version to see how it stacks up.

Woo, buddy! So excited about all the games I bought today. :D

I may get the Mega Man X's, Strider 2, Klonoa, and Warriors of the Lost Empire as well before the sale ends. Will probably get at least one more before the sale ends. I love me some platformer.

What's wrong with the PS1 version of Rayman 2? I was considering it.

Just a notice to anyone filtering by system: The Vita icon does not show all of the PS1 games for some reason. I almost missed out on a few because of this.

How does Transformer's Devastation compare to other Platinum Games? Is it like Legend of Korra or is it more like Bayonetta or MGR?

Not the complete experience. Shortened levels (overall, to simplify the experience, or so I've heard), and some are gone entirely.

Also, not as good graphics, and the voice acting isn't as charming as the gibberish spoken in other versions (these last two points aren't as important; the main thing is that you aren't getting the complete experience).

I just found there is another mega man X game called manvrick hunters or something like that.
is it good? Weird it's not on sale like x4 and x5.

I own Alice on Steam but there's no remaster bundled with that version (stupid Origin), so I like it enough to buy that $2 ultimate bundle on PS3.

Bought Fatal Frame 1, 2, 3. Already had them but they're halfway round the world back home. 99 cents is a fantastic price, would have paid $5 for them. I'm still playing Yakuza 5 so the PS3 is already hooked up.

Looking forward to The Swapper. The art style looks nice.

snagged Reel Fishing: Master's Challenge and Strangers Wrath for Vita, Ridge Racer PSP, and Castlevania Chronicles. still thinking about a few other titles, but this is a really good sale for Vita owners

I'd throw a nod in for Home, which is a pretty neat narrative adventure.

At that price you can't go wrong with the PS1 version. Rayman 2 is a great game either way but....

The PS2 version (Rayman 2: Revolution) has more content than the PS1 version and it looks better.

I think this is a great sale.

Definitely picking up the Fatal Frames, Bionic Commando games, and PS4 Strider.

Is it still the case that Final Fight Double Impact and Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 have some weird server check in DRM in order to play? I remember that being that thing, only on PS3.... Kind of scary that they could shut down the server and you can't play your own game someday.

Where is the freaking list, OP?

What's wrong with the PS1 version of Rayman 2? I was considering it.

Just a notice to anyone filtering by system: The Vita icon does not show all of the PS1 games for some reason. I almost missed out on a few because of this.

Keep in mind that Rayman 1 is one of the hardest most unforgiving platformers I've ever played.

Sword Art Online looks cool, and its the first of two games on PS4 right? Can I jump into this game not knowing anything about this series at all?

The original Rayman is still great in my opinion. Good classic 2D side scrolling action.

Awesome sounds like I'd like it then

Rayman 2 is absolutely amazing (in my top 10 games of all time), though the PS1 version is the gimped version.

Play it on something else if you can, though I am gonna try out the PS1 version to see how it stacks up.

After some searching they are all available on gog so maybe i'll get them from there

What are people's thoughts on Alice?

Its a game that starts out really strong but gets repetitive as the game goes on. Its a very long platformer and its mechanics are repeatedly re-used. The level design is also a bit unimaginative; you are just hoping over bottomless platforms for 30-40% of the game. Sure, many platformers do this too, but its really blant in Alice and that is distracting :(.

I loved its combat system a lot and visually its one of the better looking third party PS3 games out there. The story is interesting as well and the fact its bundled with a port of Alice 1 does a lot to make it a really worthwhile package.

Just that Madness Returns while a good game, has issues holding it back from greatness. I pushed myself to beat the game when I got it during a good sale in 2013; never do that for most platformers :(.

I liked the game but have issues with it sadly.

Wow, detailed thoughts, thank you! Very appreciated.

Given what you like, but all the issues, is it worth the $1.99 to you?

Monday somewhere between noon and 5pm eastern time. I think it says 3pm eastern but you never know with Sony, store updates are all over the place. Best to buy before noon just to be safe.
Was afraid of that. I'm not home until Wednesday and can't remember my password to buy online...

How do you get command and conquer on the vita if I can't download it to there?

Also harvest moon was like the only game that caught my eye
