Mike announced on the show that a PS4 version will happen if he's happy with how this one plays out. Keep in mind that Mike is still working on Volume for PS4 so waiting will ultimately be beneficial and it will allow him to release a complete package.
So Volume was the Vita exclusive game. I've held off on buying it because I had a feeling that LRG would publish it. Might be the first LRG game I buy.
2 (per person per platform) was the initial limit for Saturday Morning RPG. Not sure if that'll change for the next release or not due to demand, we'll have to wait and see.
Cool. I thought about buying Volume when it launched on the Vita but then I looked at my backlog and decided to wait for a sale. This is even better and I look forward to playing it. Lovely art too.
3/4 known future LRG games look top class and that makes me happy.
Yep, so it's a good game right? I have seen a video and seems like metal gear? Will buy it anyway and let´s see if we can get the treatment like this one for other games.
Release order(twitter limited run games): Oddworld, Futuridium, and then ???. Volume's release date is nowhere near locked yet.

Futuridium and Oddworld will not have manuals but we've got a Vita exclusive release slated within the next few months that will have premium packaging (foil on the cover) and a really nice manual!
Unless they have another release lined up with the same exact features, they probably meant that they were exclusively releasing it for one of the two systems they're focusing on currently.
Anyone here has played it? How good is it? After MGS V's gameplay, the new Hitman felt rather mediocre to me.
Edit: And I'm looking for good PS4 stealth games, and so far only enjoyed MGS V and Dishonoured (aside from the story controversy). Anything good already out now? (I know about the upcoming Deus Ex and Dishnrd 2).

I'm at the Sekai offices in Los Angeles this week. We'll be doing a live Q&A stream tomorrow (Dovac and I) and spend an hour or two just catching up on GDC. PM me any question you'd like me to answer on stream.
Some answers might be Limited, but Run them by me and im sure it'll all be fun and Games
Yep, I have played vr missions and overall I love mgs, thanks .
Also incredibly happy as this was one of the "games" we asked for: world economica, grisaia trilogy, root double if possible... amazing news!
The more I think on dust an elysian tail, guacamelee and bastion/transistor the more I want them(although I have the platinum on every game except bastion, played the iOS version)
I don't think Root Double is possible, unless there is extensive work from Regista to make the game fit a 4GB card and provide the remaining assets as a downloadable patch, which is clearly not happening since they didn't bother to make that for Japan in the first place.
Regarding Guacamelee... As much as I love the game, the Vita version isn't the definitive version. I'd probably buy a physical copy with all the DLC, but the PS4/Wii U/etc versions are better overall. I still think that a better suggestiong, from the very same studio, would be Severed. Our very own Vita exclusive (for now) that could get an amazing LRG print.

There is always room for optimization, I believe it could be possible but needs work, either optimization or with the downloadable patch trick.
I played guacamelee on ps3 and was the best downloadable game I played on that system, enjoyed every second of it with my brother, superb game.I would probably buy it for ps4 and may be for vita too, haven't played severed but doesn't appeal to me as much as gucamelee did,but I'll try it out if LRG does a retail version.

I've been playing through Root Double on Vita for the last few months (the game is looooong, easily 40-50 hours) and all the text except for the internal monologue is fully voiced. The soundtrack has a lot of songs and like the VA, everything sounds like it has a high bit rate. I guess that's what takes up most of the space.
The Vita version is 3670MB, comparable games like DR1&2 or Grisaia that had a pysical release are around 3300MB. I'm not sure what the cut-off is for the 4GB cards, they might be able to squeeze it onto a 4GB card if they take out the extras and a large encyclopedia of all the scifi/science terms for the game. Or if they find a better way of compression/reduce the bit-rate if this is still possible, but that seems like a lot of work for a Limited Run release imo.

Didn't know you were playing it, damn you. How is the game? I was super hyped and backed for the special pc version with vita code etc.I know they will have to work but I think it'd be possible whether they decide to do it or not, with better compression or leaving the voices out it will be possible although I also doubt they will make it we don't know their plans yet. What is almost sure is that they're going to try with grisaia trilogy.

I backed it as well (at a lower tier though). Before the KS, I didn't know that the game had been ported to Vita, so I picked it up and started playing while the KS was happening.
The game is good, but a slow burn. [general impressions, no story spoilers]
You gotta have a lot of patience with the way the story is told (very slow pacing and lots of exposition, sepia colored flashbacks within flashbacks, watching the same event play out multiple times from different perspectives, stuff like that). There are no puzzles/escape rooms to break up the story, player interaction is limited to making decisions. There are 2 main routes (called "roots" , each has it's own protagonist and tonally they are very different. You unlock 2 more "roots" after clearing the first two with a good ending. You're left with many unanswered questions even after finishing 3 of those roots, I feel like I'm near the end of the last route and to the game's credit, it answers all of them while still making sense in the context of the world.
Overall, RD feels more like an Infinity game than a ZE game. Great soundtrack, VA, art. Interesting characters. I think most Nakazawa/Uchikoshi fans who don't mind playing a pure VN will like it.
Don't want to say too much because of spoilers, but I can post more detailed impression in the RD thread when I'm done with the game.

Yes please, I'm interested. I believe I'm going to love it, so far all impressions are very positive and I can handle the drawbacks. Thanks takoyaki and we'll see what dovac and Audi announces from sekai project.
It's posible that someone said that, but the truth is what takoyaki said. Also 8gb vita cartridges exist or is it a legend?if they exist the problem will be costs regarding what Lrg said, but I wouldn't mind paying more for a cartridge were root double fits.
edit: if Vita cards work like USB sticks/SD cards, then you should be able to fit around 3800MB on to a 4GB Vita card. It's possible that some of that space is reserved for other things like copy protection though, not sure. I mean, there must have been a reason why they never released a physical edition.

Hope I can finish it this week, will write more detailed impressions then. I have a feeling you'll like it if you don't mind the slow parts of the story, it's really starting to pay off during the last two routes.
