Civil War will (likely) be good. When's the last time we had a legitimately poor Marvel outing? Iron Man 2?

in b4: Age of Ultron or Avengers edge posts

agree to disagree man. if iron man 2 is your measuring stick i'd put age of ultron and the thors and cap 1 below it.

i'm not gonna call these completely poor, they're all serviceable movies but they're not particularly good either imo. it's for the fans though. people enamored with the universe love some of it.

Honestly, AoU is probably my least favorite MCU film besides Hulk. Though that probably had to do with my expectations going into it.

I liked Thor 2 a lot more than the critics did. Loki was fucking awesome in that film. I'm holding onto hope that the same thing will happen with BvS. The critics were wrong, I tells ya. It's gonna be great!

I mean there is always a chance the general audiences like this movie though? Critics and general audiences dont always agree so maybe people will like it more than we think.

That said the idea of the movie being boring and overly long dont help all that much

The first Transformers movie was all I ever needed. I repeat, THE FIRST Transformers movie was all I needed.

But the cartoon movie was garbage too.

And here we go again

3 year wait, guys. 3 years and this is what they give us. The best I can hope for now is that my personal tastes don't completely align with the general critic reception.

The banter between Thor and Loki was good.

The portals fights at the end was cool.

Natalie Portman's friend with the big boobs was hot as fuck.

...Thats about it.

The portals scene was amusing just for that one lady on the tube checking out Thor, and them falling down the Shard

that's it

I guess when you already turned Superman into Batman in the last movie, the only place left to take Batman is to turn him into Punisher. Need to keep that dynamic between them.

Generally if it's niche complaints like bad cinematography or editing or things only film guys notice it's one thing.

Most reviews say it's dull, you can't fix dull. But, it might pull a Bayformers and pull people anyways because shit go boom.

It'll pull people because it has Batman and Superman in the title.

Yep....first time ever for Batman and Superman being on screen and it's 39%.....

Something ain't right with the world.

No, you're right about that. Serviceable is the right term, I think, though there are better ones within the series and crap ones, too. But Age of Ultron below Iron Man 2?

Dont worry, we all did.

Truth.

gonna be honest. outside of fury i don't fuck with ayer as a director at all.

harsh times was freaking terrible. sabotage was even worse.

but i love the aesthetic they have going (huge minority on that one, i was sold on their vision of the joker like a few minutes after my initial shock, i got it) and the casting and trailers. so i'm kinda worried for that but optimistic based on what they've been selling.

edit: oh right he made end of watch too, that was a decent cop flick.

He wrote Training Day. That's probably the best thing he's ever done.
