Dark Souls III in English is now available on the Xbox One after buying on JP store

So I guess the reason I and a couple of others can't access our Amazon.jp accounts even after password changes is that they have to verify the account first. Damn.

I really want to try purchasing codes elsewhere but don't want to risk wasting money if the Amazon codes decide to come through.
 
Now I'm locked out of amazon jp. Just keeps rejecting my login and even password reset doesn't work. Clearly this is a sign

I got locked out too but i was able to get my 5000Yen code and use it before they locked me out. Now to find a place that sales 3000Yen code.....

nothing unique about anything

xbone is just completely region free so you can download and play whatever you want

From here redeem the 2 digital codes you purchased on the microsoft store and then purchase Dark Souls 3.

You're now done and ready to download from your console without switching regions on it at all.

Thanks for this writeup. Did you get the codes immediately? Could you perhaps provide a link to the cards you bought? There are plenty of gift cards for sale and I'm afraid I'll end up ordering physical cards sent by mail.

Lucky you. Thankfully I only bought the 3000 but I have no idea if the code actually showed up or not. Looking at my bank it doesn't look like I've been charged but it may just have not updated yet.

Anywhere else to buy points people would recommend?

Happy to see atleast Xbox owners being able to play the date they should be playing instead of nonsensical delays.

And happy to see their stupid policy backfiring to Namco Bandai after the mess they created by toying with the fans.

It's probably due to me using paypal. My purchase still shows as pending on my paypal account

Picked this up on the Japanese store and bought 8000Yen in Xbox Wallet crap via Amazon. Played up to Firelink while the game was installing/downloading. Left it to download the rest while I ate. Loving it so far.

It's not great. Seems better on PS4, I instantly noticed slow down on the first area you spawn at be very start of the game on Xbox One. Seemed to be more constant as I ventured further though.
 
When I search for and click on Dark Souls III in xbox.com, I am transferred to a product page for the us version. Anyone else having this issue?
 
Anyone who bought it from Xbox.com using Paypal, did you have your paypal set your purchases in Japan in your account settings?
 
Is there anybody here in the UK who has done this and can confirm it works? And has managed to download it, and is now playing it in English?

I'm at home, and really want to get on this, but I have some stuff I need to take care of. But I'm fucking PSYCHED right now.

Going to bite the bullet and try buying the codes on the Microsoft store. If my Amazon 3000 code appears down the line, I guess I'll sell it at face value or something.

Question: If I pay on the MS Store using my debit card and a Japanese hotel address will the sale go straight through? It's only people using PayPal that are having an issue and waiting for it to be verified, right?

Oh I bought it already (ps4 JP) and will buy the USA version too, but the way Sony handled Bloodborne at launch is the ideal way to handle it, and this launch is just about the worst (for a series that is already a hit in the west; so not counting years long delays for release like DQVII…)

its pretty stupid that the game is basically out and has english translation... but we arent allowed to buy it yet because the release date is 3 weeks away for what ever stupid reason.

cant wait til the industry gets over this stupid crap. release the game in all regions at the same time.

The problem here is this release is not handled by Sony this time, and I agree Sony handled the release pretty well with BB.
Namco Bandai does it only because of marketing reasons and fiscal year statistics.

I got the same thing - It tried to verify my credit card and then just threw me out to the login and doesn't accept my password anymore. Even if I reset the password, no dice, can't login.

WHAT IS HAPPENING, I NEED HELP!

Follow this person's advice - it worked perfectly. Make sure you get 1 3000 yen card and 1 5000 yen card.

Also, I used the US embassy address.

Codes will be available as soon as pay is clicked (I used PP).
 
My friend has this preordered on the english marketplace. What would happen if he switched his account to japanese, would it let him play the game now?

No, unlock time is tied to the license, a US license will not let you play before April 12th regardless where you attempt to download it.

Can you walk me through adding the whole address thing? I am stuck at spot im suppose to enter my address.

You have to recreate an account for amazon.jp, your .com details won't work on there or at least mine wouldn't. I used the same name, email and password to make the new one.

I just bought them off of the Japanese Microsoft store, much easier.

*I should mention though I am PMing a person right now who is having trouble purchasing even after adding yen to his wallet.*

Don't suppose you could provide the address used could you? I've found the US Embassy address but have zero clue what to select in the drop down menu (the second section of the address form).

What do you mean recreate an account? I just made the jp account before ordering
 
This is a slap in the face to their whole E3 World Wide Release Date agenda they've (mostly) had over the years. It was bound to come down to this either way, their system wasn't perfect and anymore it's just history repeating itself.
