It wouldn't affect him much even if was having an affair right now, no one has those expectations of him nor did he build his career or brand on values. People are well aware of who Trump is at this point.

It was earlier in the thread, but someone said Rubio's team were actually the ones that brought this to light, but no one would run with it and the latter is what they didn't plan on.

So of course Rubio would turn Cruz down, thinking his flagging was imminent.
