Until Cruz or one of the women breaks their deafening silence on this, the mainstream media won't touch this.

There's nothing to cover beyond gossip until one of the involved parties says something, and the major outlets don't cover gossip (see: Marco Rubio's gay foam parties).
 
Who owns the Breitbart news site? If theyre in any way affiliated with a member of a Cruz Pac that would explain why theyve had this story yet didnt run it.

I mean if another Republican nominee hopeful bites the dust... I'll shed no tears. It's just such a weird and primitive way to lose face. I care about as much about this as I do about someone's religious blather, or the lack thereof ... in either case it has 0% with how well they can do the job.

But hey, if it's goodbye Cruz, I've got my popcorn....
 
Gossip mags usually have ways of reporting rumors in such a way that they couldn't be sued for libel even though they know that what they are reporting is tenuous. I wouldn't lend much weight to this until more reputable news networks start reporting on it.

I agree to an extent, in the same way people rip on Trump's haircut, which really has nothing to do with his ideas.
That being said, if you're willing to lie to your wife what bollocks are you gonna say to your constituents?

They have people working around the world around the clock. This would be a major story if there was any weight to it but these networks and others are not about to report rumors from a sensationalist gossip magazine.

I'm not saying that there isn't anything behind this but I would wait for a better source.

So he failed the stupid conservative "moral values" that he espoused. I'm sure his base will eat him for it.

But I'm not a conservative. It is entirely consistent that I think it is stupid to care about a politicians's sexual affairs, by the same logic I think it is stupid to run on a platform of moral values in the first place.

Liberals shouldn't care about their politicians' sex lives. We're just happy to see an opponent defeated... yet he is being defeated for failing to live up to conservative values that I don't share. Why would I dance in the street about it?

You think too highly of them. CNN International has no capacity to touch US politics. They just rebroadcast previously recorded US CNN stuff for their very brief US politics coverage every day. Fox and MSNBC has no international coverage.

Being a massive hypocrite, a liar, unreliable and not worthy of the trust (we're not talking one affair, but five) of the most important person in his life is not a bad reason for a politician to sink.

No, being hypocritical is a big issue even if you don't care about the issue that the politician is being hypocritical about.

If Bernie Sanders used a tax loophole for his personal income or allowed a Super PAC to support him, it would hurt him even though his opponents are not against those things.

Clinton won in 1992 in part by attacking Bush for saying "Read my lips, no new taxes" (Bush later agreed with the Democratic Congress to raise taxes)--even though Democrats supported the taxes.

how it works is the enquirer points out the smoke and then "reputable reporters" will start digging for anything that burns. If they paid for a tip, someone somewhere has a story.

In a world where you could conceivably be a politician while being single and dating around, or in an open relationship, then that's the day I start to zealously grill politicians for cheating on their wives. This is a job where you cling to the fake image of a nuclear family as a baseline of being electable. He couldn't leave a bad wife and date around if he wanted.

I can't know if he's a deceitful monster to his wife or if he has a Bill and Hillary situation where they are obviously in a marriage of convenience.

He is a hypocrite and he'll be dropped for it. I'm just stating a personal reaction: Sexual activity in my politicians? I don't care about that silly crap. If the rest of the mob will eat him, so be it.
 
My guess is there's going to be a lot of photographers attempting to get pictures of Cruz and his wife at Church on Friday.
