Well, as mentioned on the last page, the guy who owns the Enquirer is friends with Trump and gave him his first endorsement. So, Trump probably knew this story (True or not) was in the works for a while.
Oh trust me, it's over for them all, but I could see someone being stupid enough to try it if Trump was essentially left alone.

I don't know how they operate but given that Trump is the current front runner I'd say that whatever clout the religious conservatives had just got a bit weaker now that there will likely be one less candidate in the race trying to pander to them

I'm 100 % in favor of relationships where this sort of thing is sanctioned by the couple. This is different. Cruz is a dominionist who believes Christian teaching should be the law of the land. His public ideology is the concern for me here, not his wife. Whether his wife is cool with it or not, he's a hypocrite.

I'm going to need more than the National Enquirer on this, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if this is true. Well except that he's somehow found 6 women to have sex with him - even money and power can't quite explain that.

Hey for all I know he takes his Christian dominion to the extreme and he got word from god like Abraham did and got the OK to have an extra marital thing going. Again I don't know and I'm not siding with him. I think the dude is at least on par with trump on how bad he is but he's more quiet about it. I hope it does sink him. But I also don't really give a shit about the bedroom life of politician.

The thing for me is he was introd last fall by a pastor who claimed that gays should be executed because that's what the bible says. I know these kind of people and their theology, they barely sanction divorce and marriage and fidelity is central to their identity. If this is true, it's a total decimation of his central public identity.

Many people don't, unless they are conservative. See: Bill Clinton. A case like that, I don't care. Because I'm not aware of Bill creating policy or drumming up support based on conservative family values.
It is important to expose someone like Ted due to his extremist views on conservative values and his desire to impose those extremist values on other people. That's why for someone who preaches from a position of purity, it's important to know if they are actually living up to those standards themselves.
