National Enquirer: Ted Cruz Has Had at Least 5 Extramarital Affairs

Status
Not open for further replies.
There was a Washington Times reporter basically bluntly saying that he could confirm 2 of the affairs and said that a certain media outlet knew about it for awhile now but chose to sit on it and still hasn't talked about it.

There's just something about Cruz that makes you not care at all what happens to him.

Ah OK thanks. I did see that earlier. Thanks, now I don't have to read through 10+ pages to find out we know nothing.

The ease with which Trump has utterly annihilated the GOP this cycle has been a thing of beauty. It's not even that Rubio and Jeb! were temporarily embarrassed - they were publicly ruined in record time.

And now maybe Cruz is next.

I can't wait to see Trump's reaction to this. He still hasn't tweeted all day...something is up.

I think this may well be the last straw for a lot of people. Everyone else has already gone down, libertarian, religious right, and establishment. Cruz was supposed to be the last stand. The principled true conservative. That he goes down in disgrace means that its over. The GOP has nothing left to stand for. The Republican Party is no longer the GOP. It's Trump's Party now. He's the captain now.

He was bound to fail anyway, but Trump played a roll in how quickly Walker went from early frontrunner in Iowa to being behind Nobody in the polls.

I think I have more respect for Cruz today than I did yesterday. Some good looking women there, even if this is how DC rolls.

Still hate him, still think he's a creep, but yea.

The idea that any of the non-Kasich candidates were actually viable in a national election was a complete delusion.
It's one thing to just beat an opponent in a primary.

It's another to practically end their career and render them a walking punchline without even lifting a finger (well, lifting a water bottle in Rubio's case).

Trump turned these guys into unelectable and soon to be unemployed jokes within their own party.

Keep in mind, the Washington times isn't particularly reputable. They're not as disreputable as the enquirer, though.

Keep in mind, that dude doesn't work for the Washington Times. He was a "contributor" to one of their community sections.

For the record, I think there is better than 50/50 odds this story is true. Just saying he isn't really a source worth a damn. I trust the Enquirer more, tbh.

Ahh that clears things up.

You know, I really think I should feel bad that I don't really care if this story is true or not so long as it causes Cruz to suffer politically. I mean, it'll effectively ruin his personal life as well, even if it's not true.

But, for some reason, I can't seem to muster an iota of caring for him. Am I a bad human being?

How did this even come up?

Ha! Ratfucking is a term from the Nixon/Watergate days.

Why would he even bring up Trump when there's no evidence at all he did any of this? How stupid can you be? Now he'll just fight back and this story will never go away for him.

Ted Cruz Facebook Response

Don't know why he's going after Trump directly when Trump hasn't said a word about this story, now Trump can talk about it since he's being directly accused of starting it.
Plus, it makes him look like a hypocrite because he hid behind the SuperPAC re: the whole Melania thing.

There's also nothing concrete linking Donald to the story, yet it's OK to deflect the blame to his campaign?

So now he's a hypocrite for blaming Donald's camp, and an idiot for inviting Donald to comment on it.

Where is Cruz's old roomie in on all of this? I know he said girls thought he was a creep at college.

I guess it shows what a little power can do for you.

Ahh that clears things up.

Drew Johnson @Drews_Views is NOT a columnist @WashTimes. (1/3)

The Washington Times ‏@WashTimes 1h1 hour ago
He is a former employee who occasionally wrote for our "citizen-journalist" portal known as Communities. (2/3)

That relationship has ended as of today. (3/3)

Drew Johnson's @Drews_Views personal views do not reflect those of the @WashTimes.

So yeah, take his stuff with a grain of salt. Sounds like a guy who was padding his resume by saying he was a Washington Times journalist, or editor, or whatever.

Lol Cruz is now literally doing the exact thing he accused Trump of doing with the Melania ad.

Trump is yanking all these politicians around like marionettes.

if Trump did this his numbers would go up and he would high five the crowds everywhere.

Maybe, but Trump is also not starting his speeches with "To God be the glory". This is a bigger story for Cruz because he is pushing "traditional" family values so damn hard.

Yeah, fairly lame to hide behind his super PAC when he takes a hit on Trump, then start pointing fingers.

Both men are trash.

I think Trump would actually benefit from saying he's not sure whether its true or not, and that he's skeptical, and that we should wait for more information. That way Cruz can't deflect on him, and it actually makes his deflection seem pathetic.

If true, then Ted Cruz's hypocrisy vis-a-vis religious values aside, it's kind of ridiculous that allegations of extra-marital dalliances can ruin someone's political career in 2016 United States.

This should be treated with a shrug in this day and age.

Good to know.

Learned another new thing today.

It's true even on the democratic side. See: Weiner, Spitzer(Though I think Spitzer goes a bit further than an affair). Clinton's kinda the only guy who managed to recover from it.

Weiner never actually had an affair funnily enough, he was all about texting pics to girls. He could have recovered if he had actually stopped doing it, but apparently that was asking too much.

Is it significant that Trump hasn't tweeted once since this story broke?

He's gotta be considering how best to beat cruz over the head with it

Odds are he's been waiting for Cruz to throw the first punch so he can hit back and not look like an asshole in the process.

I'm sure trump is never involved in any extramarital affairs, no way. Not a rich man who's obsessed with himself.

Pretty much anyone in power probably has many of these.

Oh, right, it was just phone sex and picts, if I recall, right?

Oh, right, it was just phone sex and picts, if I recall, right?

Not even phone sex, just tweeting and pics. It was the dumbest fucking scandal ever and he was a moron to not cut it out when he tried making his comeback. Carlos fucking Danger, what a moron.

Well I wonder which media outlet that was./s

Everyone already knows Trump is willing to go to the trash, this isn't surprising anyone. Calling Trump out as sleazy when you're the one taking all the flack is a bad look though. No one actually cares that Trump is being underhanded since he has been playing that game since day 1.

Really though, the DNC must be having a fucking party right now watching the conservatives sabotage each other with no end in sight.

It should, unless your base supports you because of family values.
Who other than self righteous Christians supports cruz???
