National Enquirer: Ted Cruz Has Had at Least 5 Extramarital Affairs

I will probably vote for a Green or Socialist candidate come November. (and before anyone attacks me for giving Trump the presidency: I will vote in Illinois. If Hillary needs me, she's fucked anyway.) That said, Hillary has been subject to every ridiculous and insane attack imaginable since I was in kindergarten. There is absolutely no way Trump can work his magic on her. She's the queen at this.

If this blows up bigger than it is and causes Ted to drop Kasich is next to be taken down by the Trump.

Ted Cruz’s problem with the National Enquirer is his and his alone, and while they were right about O.J. Simpson, John Edwards, and many others, I certainly hope they are not right about Lyin’ Ted Cruz.

And we're done here, folks.

I have no idea whether or not the cover story about Ted Cruz in this week’s issue of the National Enquirer is true or not, but I had absolutely nothing to do with it, did not know about it, and have not, as yet, read it.

Likewise, I have nothing to do with the National Enquirer and unlike Lyin’ Ted Cruz I do not surround myself with political hacks and henchman and then pretend total innocence. Ted Cruz’s problem with the National Enquirer is his and his alone, and while they were right about O.J. Simpson, John Edwards, and many others, I certainly hope they are not right about Lyin’ Ted Cruz.

I look forward to spending the week in Wisconsin, winning the Republican nomination and ultimately the Presidency in order to Make America Great Again.

The trap is sprung

#rekt, that was a slam dunk statement from Trump

If you think Hillary still doesn't have shit left in her closet for Trump to exploit, you're mistaken.

If Trump is the one destroying these candidates, ask yourself who the next candidate on his list is? I think you're forgetting that.
Hillary not only survived the 11 hour Benghazi hearing extravaganza, but afterwards she had her finest hour yet while Gowdy suffered a critical sodium overdose and started leaking.

The GOP has been after her for twenty years. They've thrown everything she's ever done, both good and bad, at her. They've got Clinton Tourettes, they can't help but attack her the second they even think they see a sliver of an imagined opening in a drunken haze. That well been run dry dude, there's nothing left.

I'm still legit shook he did this on Easter. That's unbelievable timing.

He's the goddamned devil.

Naturally, it would be Clinton. That being said, Clinton has so many "scandals" on her and her husband over the past few decades that she is just as immune to scandal as Trump is. The Republican Party plays checkers, but both Trump and Clinton can be said to playing political chess and already have their skeletons out in the open.

To be fair, that hearing was conducted by the party that Trump is currently eating for breakfast.

I have heard about this for a very long time. It's funny how long it can take for someone to finally report it. Of course he might be innocent but I don't think he is.

Yeah. Anyone who thinks Clinton has seen anything remotely approaching this level of warfare is kidding themselves. The GOP had lots of attacks, but they have generally been all terrible ones. Trump actually knows what the hell he is doing, and he has the Wall Street / NYC connections most republicans wouldn't.

I suspect Trump has a copy of the Goldman Sachs speech transcripts, for starters.

If true, then Ted Cruz's hypocrisy vis-a-vis religious values aside, it's kind of ridiculous that allegations of extra-marital dalliances can ruin someone's political career in 2016 United States.

This should be treated with a shrug in this day and age.
The main reason I see it as a real issue (possible bribes aside) is if true it goes against what he has been preaching. Not that I want what he's preaching by any stretch, but it's all the more revolting when a person like him wants to act as if he has religious authority and is blatantly going against that, versus someone who never really leaned on the religious angle overly hard and cheated on their spouse.

Trump's unfavorables with specific demographics will put states like Arizona and Georgia in play. Cruz is disliked, but not that disliked.

Meanwhile, Trump's ability to put states like Ohio and Pennsylvania in play are probably overstated because those states have large, demographically-eclectic urban areas (Columbus, Cleveland, Philly, etc.) that will probably prevent him from flipping enough white male working-class votes to capture them.

Trump is definitely easier to beat than Cruz. The idea that Trump can pivot and that people will buy that pivot is, IMO, not really feasible. Trump also has diarrhea of the mouth and is easy to bait in a way that Cruz isn't.

Trump is the tougher opponent because he's unpredictable and has done much better than expected. Cruz is the mainstream GOP candidate seen time and time again except the big wigs don't like him and he's an outsider. In any event, supporters sell him as a serious thinker and a principled guy. Virtually everything that comes out of his mouth is diarrhea and unserious. Like Paul Ryan, Newt Gingrich, and the rest.

Plus, he craps on women and racial/ethnic minorities to boot arguably worse than Trump which kills him in the GE. If I was a GOP supporter, then I would recommend the guy who's going to make America great again and take my chances for something unexpected happening.

Were National Enquirer really right about OJ or Trump pulling it outta his ass?

6. The Enquirer catches O.J. again

You probably remember the firestorm of controversy that surrounded O.J. Simpson's "hypothetical confession" book If I Did It in 2007. The Enquirer actually broke the story of the book's existence in October 2006, complete with the correct title. Simpson's lawyers immediately denied that any such book project existed. Less than a year later, If I Did It hit bookstore shelves.

Why? Let's say the rumor is true (which I doubt personally). If there is no smoking gun and none of the women talk, Cruz can save his career by blaming Trump for this. The pieces fit: a tabloid owned by one of Trump's friends, bad sources, the fact that Trump seemed to hint at the story before it was published, etc. More than enough reasonable doubt for Cruz to continue in the race and satisfy his supporters with an explanation. It could also gain him supporters within the party and perhaps Cruz can bait Trump into saying some more outrageous stuff to ensure the party withholds the nomination from him.

Do you see what's happening now?

Cruz responded and brought Trump into this, now Trump responded and the media is finally covering it. They wouldn't touch it without sources if this hadn't happened.

The convention is going to be such a shit show. Half of the speakers denouncing the nominee, likely some during primetime before his speech to a hall full of cheering and boos that never subside.

It's not necessarily what you attack them with, it's how you attack them.

I dont think Hillary is remotely immune to attack if she tries to burnish her credentials as an advocate for women victimized or repressed by men. Especially if her husband goes out on the stump.
