I don't think i've found any actual heavy armor yet, but there's definitely a big selection of weapons. I'm trying to farm one off a dude now that looks awesome. Can anyone tell me how to get a screenshot off my xbox?
Scaling might improve but there's a weapon infusion now that forces a higher str scale.

Alright, two questions about the big basement level.
1. How do I kill the skeltals? I just ran through the area but I can't imagine that's what you're supposed to do.

Half of them are REALLY good, a few of them are decent at best, and five of them are Father G/King Allant/Artorias

So the shop lady gives you different items based on ashes you give her, which im pretty sure comes from murdering people. I've not done any of that this round but i intend to do a lot of murdering come my next playthrough.

Never really felt Father G to be all that amazing. Maybe it's because of the way I beat him.
Best hunter to fight for me was definitely lady maria.

I thought that too but I feel like it could have been designed as a companion level that feels like Byrgenwerth. I guess it is more likely to be the case though.

I think i'm close to finishing this game and still haven't been there. I did encounter one of those monsters before getting to secondfirelink shrine.

Are Battle Arts useful? I didn't see many people use it in stress tests

They use mana and are tied to melee weapons. I think you'd need to build into using them.
Cathedral Knights are being super stingy with their drops. I'm all nighting this if i have to.

Early on you may need the extra 3 dex but its really not that helpful in PvE.

Yeah. I'm with you, I like 2 a lot. Still think the combat/movement is off compared to all the other games so that kind of keeps it in last place but it's still really good.

For one reason or another, fans of this series are divided on what game they like most. I'm hoping we all agree on a consensus at least that Dark Souls 3 is a great send off and love letter to the entire series.
This three week delay is bullshit. Anyone waiting on the US release, don't spoil yourself by looking at a Lets Play or something. Content yourself with the knowledge that if you like the other games, you'll like this one. I'm not usually one who cares about this but I am so happy to be experiencing this blindly. My lack of willpower was counteracted by a wiki with no information, and I'm happy about it. Looked something up, couldn't find it, eventually figured it out myself.
