What purpose does that serve? Serious question.

Liberals don't want other liberals to be shocked into not voting when Sanders loses the nomination to Clinton. We need a united front to take down Cruz or Trump in the general.

And he's going to lose to Clinton.

I don't think it's wrong to ask Sands to drop out, I just think now, when hrs on the biggest winning streak he's going to have in his election, is a weird time to be incinuating it.

If and when Sanders looses big in NY I will absolutely be calling for him to drop. He has no path already and NY will just make that even more obvious, methinks. But he's not going to drop put until at least mid april. He's been doing just well enough to justify staying in.

Which I don't think he will. Cali is much more diverse than other states, is more urban, and is a primary rat her than a caucus. I don't expect it to go very well for Sanders. Not horribly, but he needs to win big there.

Yeah unfortunately California is not that white. Border security is pretty questionable there. If you go to Southern California you'll see tons of Mexican restaurants all over the place. Don't think Bernie can pull off a repeat of Washington but it'd be great if he could.

Based God is real ya'll. As for dropping out (lol) Hillary fought a hopeless battle well until June 2008, Bernie will match that + keep young and new voters interested better than the DNC can. Silly idea to stop now, get over it

I'm a totally rational Sanders supporter who is fully aware that the likelihood of him winning the nomination is less than a football team successfully executing two Hail Marys.

You aren't preparing people to not "be shocked." You are talking down to them which is alienating and is further splitting the base.

Stop.

They have been doing that for months.

Don't bother. I gave up trying to reason with them.

They don't care about uniting everyone.

Please tell me you're being sarcastic. I'm a Bernie supporter btw.

At least let them enjoy tonight, gawt'dam

I'm all for letting them enjoy tonight!

It's when some start talking as if tonight means he could win, or that he could still somehow win, that I say something.

People on both sides of the political debate are going to have to wake up to the fact that there is no "base" anymore. This election is making that very clear.

The reason nobody in their right mind is giving him a shot is because he has to win California by a lot (he won't, and if he does it'll be close) plus NY by a lot (and he's 40 points down there, there's no way Hillary doesn't carry her home state).

Any gains he makes in the next couple of weeks, during which even if he wins them all he'll still be behind, don't really matter. When Clinton wins NY and at worst ties California she'll erase any delegates he's gained. Every time he wins a state and fails to crush her, the ratio he needs to win the 2 big states by goes up. Do you really think he's going to win NY by 15% or whatever target he'll need?

People have to stop looking at states won and start looking at delegate count per state. If he really cared about the country he'd stop wasting everyone's time and stump for downticket people who share his views. The Bernie dream is dead, but the ideals still have a chance if he started helping those who still could win.

Exciting weeks ahead trying to take down the establishment

Any divisions that exist between supporters of Clinton and Sanders ain't nothing compared to '08.

And those voters came home.

Why? What's the point? This isn't some sort of sport or entertainment TV show. He isn't going to get the nom, what is the point in even talking about him anymore?

Hillary stayed till June. He has that right too if he so chooses. It would be hypocritical if Hilary forced him out.

One would almost think that California used to be Mexico.

I'm curious to see how Bernie does in NY. All my graduate classmates keep talking about Bernie, as well as my fellow new yorkers on fb.

Donald in Bernie's clothing

Unfortunate for Sanders campaign perhaps, but diversity is always a good thing. If Sanders cannot appeal to minorities that is his and his campaigns own fault. Minority outreach has been his campaign's achilles heel thus far and he's going to have to fix it if he wants any chance at winning the nomination.

Also latinos/=/illigals. There are tons of legal Mexican and Hispanic immagrants living there, as well as many native born Hispanics, and they will be who gives Hillary the victory.

Clinton will most likely win- but throwing a wench into to establishment machine is hilarious for its own sake. Which is also why I am happy Trump is winning the GOP race as well (despite not being a republican).

Yeah, I can't take any of you guys seriously.

Especially when some of you guys have said that Hillary is entitled to our votes. Yikes.

No I mean what's the point in celebrating his victories?

Nobody should force him out, it's best he does drop out though. Just like Hillary should have (and she actually had a bloody good fighting chance) Bernie has none.

He ran tons of ads in SC. Dunno about the other Southern states.

what are you implying?

Everyone knows that Mexican immigrants are terrified of deportation and La Migra, except, mysteriously, during election season, which makes their Latin blood heat up and drives them to illegally vote, often accompanied by Mariachi.

Its difficult to do that when you were an absolutely nobody 10 months ago going against someone who's been involved with minorities since the 1990s.

my point is he is going to drop out but it probably won't be till a little after June 7th. He has WI, WY, WV, OR, KY, ND, SD, maybe CT & RI to do well in the next 2 months.

Of course I meant unfortunate for Sanders campaign, not in general. I don't think he can pull off a 75-25 win like in Washington. But maybe 55-45 win. I don't think that's enough.

Should be a hat trick for Sanders. Not to mention the endorsement from Mother Nature the other day. Hillary should just concede the nomination now to not drag this out.

He seemed to make inroads amongst whites and millennials well enough, so theres no reason to think he couldn't with minorities.

Betting no. And doing well isn't a good enough reason to warrant staying in the race.

Every win for Bernie is a win for actual political progress in our country. Maybe in 4 years someone will take down Hillary.

Hopefully not. Anyone who decides to primary Hillary (or any standing liberal president) isn't a progressive, no matter what they may say. Changing up who in your party is in the Whitehouse is a job for every 8 years, not every four.

Every win for Bernie is definitely a push towards socialized medicine and school, definitely. For a country 60 years that literally arrested people for thinking socialism/communism. Its definitely shows the increasing view.

If it gets more people aware of how people outside of the U.S lives and brings light to some of the issues in our country and government, whats wrong with that?

Hillary is likely to win, but at least conversations will be had as long as he stays and gets his message across. And his message his getting across, Its not like hes pulling Rubio numbers. Make Hillary work for it I say.
