Can I get a rational and non-emotional answer from the people who are saying they are going to ditch Sony and buy a gaming PC as to why they think that is a good idea? Is this a spin on the 'pre-order canceled' meme? Do these people realize how much upgrading and 'fragmentation in the user base' they are in for when they buy that gaming rig?
I already have a gaming rig, the PS4K isn't going to be 400$ here, it is going to be much, much more. With the money that I spend getting a new one I can easily get more PC parts (more RAM, more HDDs, new SSDs, more coolers).
Last year I went the easy route and got a PS4 instead of a PC because I thought "hey, at least I'll be able to ride this until next gen". Guess I was wrong and should've upgraded my PC even further.
What GAF never realizes is that even though the majority of members are from the USA/CAN/Europe, there are many people from other countries that have to deal with prices that are not near the MSRP.
I wish sony went all out and put top of the line stuff into this and just had it be super expensive for those willing to pay.
They did a "top of the line device" for those that wanted. It's called PS Vita, take a look at the sales and see how wrong you are.
