Is this correct..? Pretty steep requirements, and the minimum and the recommended are exactly the same..

Edit: Wait, for some reason I was reading 980 ti, so with some overclocking on my MSI 970 and my 3770k I'll be in the ballbark.
The new gen GPUs can't come quickly enough..
ffs. So this morning I wake up to an email sent at 1:42am saying there was a problem with payment. I didn't get a warning from the bank, and I spoke to them yesterday so they said it should go through fine. My only thought is that HTC didn't actually retry, they just sent this email out to anybody that had a problem yesterday.
So now I have to contact them so they can retry - but if they'd retried last night it would have worked. now I've probably lost two days??
Also they say 'hey you can change to paypal if you want'. But how? The order details don't have any edit buttons or change payments. And of course their online chat isn't responding and they don't give us crazy Europeans a phone number to call.
For what it is worth, there is a post on Reddit from one of the other folks who also got this cancellation notice, and says that the rep on the phone told him changing payment to PayPal would essentially be creating a new order and lose his place in orders.
Kind of have to take anything from there with a grain of salt but I'd probably try to contact them yourself before trying to change over to PayPal (assuming you find a way to even do so).
Can't see anywhere to do that, and I'm not risking it for the same reason you mentioned - also there is a chance paypal would flag it.
Just annoying that you burn 24 hours waiting for an update because they come at 1-2am UK time. And I contacted both bank and HTC yesterday so they could have retried then.
sigh.

EDIT: WTF they just sent me a cancellation email!!

How annoying! Can they get it back?
For all of you receiving cancellation e-mails: Did you first receive a warning e-mail prior from HTC? (contact bank etc...)
With these cancellations, maybe they tried again to charge it and the bank fucked it up again?
At this stage - as so many got it - I can only hope it is some admin screw up and they'll have to deal with everyone one by one. Which will take ages and probably slow shipments down
Like every day recently I started today off by checking for new emails from HTC. I didn't get any, but reading this thread that may be lucky. I'm increasingly relieved that I ordered with Paypal.

I'm on HTC chat right now, girl seems she has no clue.
EDIT: they confirm only thing I can do is re-order.
Fuck this shit.
Anyway I'm pissed. I got in in the first batch, and now if I re-order who knows when I'll be getting mine. And my bank may refuse again.
Durante the Wise. xD
Let's add that to your tag.

I got the cancellation mail as well - no prior notification from either my bank or HTC. I am pretty pissed right now.EDIT: WTF they just sent me a cancellation email!!
I received no warning. The last mail I got was (in pretty terrible German) yesterday that my order was being processed (Es ist in der Mache!).For all of you receiving cancellation e-mails: Did you first receive a warning e-mail prior from HTC? (contact bank etc...)
It's amazing seeing stuff like this posted on the same website where people compare Steam to UWP.
Any chance you could explain this in layman terms?
Do people who get the April date when ordering actually get put ahead in the queue of earlier preorders that say May?
Have anyone gotten their order to a "shipped" status by doing this?

No. My only electrical engineering background is a single lecture I attended at university, some tinkering in my childhood and a fascination with certain youtube channels.Any chance you could explain this in layman terms?
There is no layman's terms for this. It's the circuit schematics for their sensors. It's instructions for building your own if you know electrical engineering.
That's all I needed, thanks. Also, if that's considered instructions then electrical engineering is magic to me!
And I look forward to putting custom sensors on all manner of things.
Vive is showing April for pre-orders in the UK right now. If anyone wants to grab one fast.
