How doeswork?this sequence break
Not for nothing, but this is the review thread and it's a very big spoiler you're asking after. You'll know how to do it after a single playthrough, though.
How doeswork?this sequence break
The hype keeps on coming.
Quick question, as someone who has only played Bloodborne would this be a good place to start?
You could start with 3 no problem, but I would still highly recommend Dark Souls 1 first.
I was watching the IGN videoreview and they spoke about weapon arts. To my knowledge and if my memory doesn't fail me, the first Souls game didn't have those and I am not far enough in 2 yet. Is this something brand new? Those sword moves look siiiiick.
The game is an absolute masterpiece and even better than DaS, in my opinion, which was my favorite game until now. This game, this fucking game. It is that good. That mystery, the fear and exhilaration of pushing onward and discovering new areas, just the quality of content that you can even easily overlook. On one playthrough I found a side area in the game's second real zone that led to an amazing, epic moment with an NPC that gave me goosebumps.
The INSANE designs of bosses and enemies. There are minibosses that would be bosses in any other game. The atmosphere. The perfectly honed gameplay.
I seriously don't understand the criticisms of the linear areas and sameness of the maps.
This game is just so great. 10/10, even with the console performance issues. FROM have somehow, against the odds, reset the action RPG bar and raised it even higher.
Kill the lady
The Souls story is never necessary to play previous games, though it will help you understand the lore.
Import players. How's the general performance on PS4? Bloodborne level?
Do the Dark Souls games really have that interesting of Lore?.

The IGN review praises the Lore of the game... Do the Dark Souls games really have that interesting of Lore?
I found Demon's Souls a bit memorable, but I don't remember much Lore wise of what I played of Dark Souls 1... unless it only starts to come around by the end.

I guess I will trow myself a little spoiler, but I need to ask, how referenced is Dark Souls 3 in DkS3?
no specifics, only if it is referenced or how much.

Dark Souls 3 is referenced almost constantly in Dark Souls 3.

It's not nearly as interesting as Demon's Souls but it's okay (Dark Souls lore overall). There are usually some cool bits. The IGN review praises the Lore of the game... Do the Dark Souls games really have that interesting of Lore?

This might be a big spoiler and I may get myself banned, but at the end of the game this dialogue happens:
Firekeeper: "You know Unkindled one, we really are Dark Souls III"
I discussed it in my review. I thought the vertically was excellent and the pathing and enemy placement was well done for the most part with one or two issues here and there with some pretty long boss sprints if you died. But overall I liked it a great deal.
All the time! Literally the game's opening title screen is Dark souls 3!
If DS1: a lot
If DS2: sparingly
I assume you mean DS1. The answer isa lot.
Dark Souls 3 is referenced almost constantly in Dark Souls 3.
Too many references for my taste. that's one of the reasons why I put DS3 PVE below BB.

New. Some are useful, some less so. The most useful ones in my experience are theand thekatana parrydagger quickstep
Will From have a GOTY repeat on GAF?
It's better than Bloodborne so I hope so
Is there any spoilers from any area other than the first 3?
