Don't bother with the ps4 you won't remember what it does anyway. My advice would be don't go too deep the first time.
 
Shrooms are a tonne of fun.When I was younger I'd often forego alcohol when there was a big party and do shrooms instead as they were cheaper, always had a great trip and I always ended up having a good night's rest while everyone else woke up hung over.

My takeaways:
-Having someone sober is a good idea so they can at the very least document all your awesome epiphanies.
-Having something to watch is a great idea. Particularly cartoons.
-I'd watch others play videogames, but had no interest in playing them myself.
-Eating candy while on shrooms was pretty much the greatest thing ever.
 
If I wanted to ever try a psychedelic, it would probably be mushrooms just due to the rich history and depth of experience had with them.

Not a fan of altering my perception, though.

Nah. This never happened and I'm guessing you've never tried shrooms. It's not like that.
 
Tried shroom's once.

They tasted and smelled like cow shit, didn't do much to me, and it just wasn't that great. Wish they were fresher and there was less cow shit.

I've never hallucinated on shrooms and only once on LSD. A friend had a blue and red horizontally striped shirt and he was wearing a hat...his face began to melt a little and he got long fingers so he looked like Freddy. I freaked out for a second and pushed him to the ground.

You can believe him, but I've done tons of shrooms, acid, etc...you just don't get high like that. You can see altered colors, "tracers", skewed vision, but inanimate objects won't speak to you and you wouldn't mistakenly kidnap a child. haha

Oh yeah I agree most of my trips were in my room, alone. I was trying to say you don't really need more stimulation being in my mind was more than enough.
 
Just don't freak out about how long it lasts and try to always remember it will end
A bad trip only gets bad if you convince yourself it might not end
 
Don't play video games, be in nature, have a non high strong chaperone in case any of you lose it, and above all, breathe. You can have breaks from reality on large doses that can turn into the most frightening spirals full of ego death and other crazy things.

Just please, have someone sober to watch over you guys or be far enough from society that you can't get yourself hurt.

The best way to ingest them I've actually heard is in Orange Juice. It's easy to keep down and the the part where you come up is much faster (also less nausea). However, the high itself I've also heard is shorter. So it has it's downsides.
 
Anyone who has eaten shrooms, especially like an eighth of an ounce would know that your ass ain't driving for shit once it kicks in. I honestly don't even think I'd want to talk to anyone who wasn't tripping with me.
 
I secretly wish I still had friends who would be down to get fucked up. Man can you imagine the crazy Winamp plugins that will come out with VR support?
 
Good you are doing them with other people OP. That is recommended. For your first time, I would also recommend having a "babysitter". Pretty much someone who is going to be sober the entire time, just to keep and eye on things.

Accept that you're tripping and don't try to fight for control, or you're gonna have a bad time. How you perceive everything around you and everything you've ever known will change dramatically for a few hours and it can be an incredible experience if you just let it flow...man.

And fuck me, please don't waste such a drug inside playing PS4. Not for the first time. Do you have any nice wooded areas or anything like that near where you live?

i dunno about shrooms, but i played smash bros on acid once and it was pretty fun. my reaction time was definitely fucked up, but i still had a fun time, and all the characters had pleasant, glowy auras around them, and the music was hype as fuck, and it was just a great time overall lmao

although, once sobered up, i kind of wished that i hadn't spent so much of the trip playing lol

Take half of what you have got, and if you feel ok in an hour take the rest.

Same with LSD the first time, You better off having a mild experience from having a small dose than having a large dose.

Make sure you with friends you know and trust and in a place you feel relaxed. You will most likely end up having some very deep and meaningful converstations :p.
Have some music you like sorted. Me and my best friends take LSD/Shrooms a couple times a year and have for that last 10 years. Never had a bad time.

GTA on LSD omg.. I have great memories of playing San Andreas for 6 hours straight with a friend just doing random crap. GTAV in first person is incredible while tripping. Also Rocket League on LSD/Shrooms is intense. I dont think I could have played many games the first few times I took them but im used to it now, Can take a tab of acid and function normally.. Took one once then went and did christmas shopping two days before christmas day. The mall was surely an experience.

Also people... Erowid.org.. Found it when i was 13, Has helped me and my friends stay safe when we have experimented with various things. Oh and Heroin.. Not even once people!
 
I've done it one time as well. Like OP I did research and that just doesn't really give the vibe of how it really is. The feeling is going to be different for everyone. I did it with 3 other friends, and myself and another got really sick, paranoid. I ended up throwing up because it hurt my stomach. The other two guys smiled their asses off while watching Fantasia (which scared the hell out of me...). After that horrible time it mellowed out and was pretty alright. Definitely a roller coaster ride.

PS: Drink orange juice. It's an urban legend that it will increase the effect.

I took shrooms at the zoo once lol.

We thought the aquarium would be dope, but there were kids everywhere being all loud and shit so it sucked. Then we went to the reptile house, but it was dark and smelled like shit, so that sucked as well. Then my friend started running everywhere which made me crack up because his running style reminded me of George Costanza.

I don't think we actually looked at too many animals. Just kinda wandered around. There was a pond with ducks in it which was cool.

If you're gonna do shrooms don't go to the zoo. Not as fun as I thought it would be.
 
I think everyone feels a certain amount of Nausea. That's how you know you about to be fucked up. I think the zoo or an amusement park would be awesome if you had a private party. Crowds really kill my vibe.

Maybe it was different for me because I had a 4 hour experience of just looking at my hand, the wall, and the ceiling while the rest is a warm pleasant blur but I found it very relaxing.
 
Had to taze the last guy I saw on shrooms. He was completely naked and punching the mirrors off of cars. He also kept screaming about how thirsty he was while holding a bottle of water. After ignoring several verbal commands, he charged at me saying "I'm gonna kick your ass".

Asked the girlfriend what he was on. Shrooms, she said.

As someone who personally has no desire to do any sort of hallucinogens ever, I hope you have fun. Seriously though taken it easy for the first time, and have someone babysit you. Higher doses are for more experienced trippers.
 
It's been a few years for me and outside of a Flaming Lips concert, I'm probably done with them.

Nothing but great experiences with them though. Last time was at the Texas Pinball festival.

Took them on a Saturday and played pinball for 6 hours straight. Qualified for every tournament and the main final.

This used to happen to me back in the day when I smoked weed and tried to play World of Warcraft. I would just run around in circles and couldn't figure out where to go, lol.

Anyway, shrooms can be pretty fun. I've done it a few times. It can be funny, but you can also feel a little strange. I've had some visuals from it too.

I turned down a bag of shrooms a few years ago and I wish I had got it and eaten them. I was just looking for acid at the time. *shrug*
 
I was with two of my friends while they ate mushrooms and I got drunk. At one point, we walked to a corner store that was literally 5 minutes away but they thought that we had been walking for hours. They also kept talking about how the walls were furry and changing colors.

The stupidest thing I did on shrooms was drive my car. I didn't go too far but I think my friends wanted to go to Starbucks, it was a little trippy.

Just have everything you think you might want to do on it ready at the house. You may or may not give a shit about your PS4. Some visualization games might be fun.

The park nearby is clutch but I'd say get out there while it's still light; probably won't be that much fun at night and might even creep you out a bit.

Don't take on an empty stomach and if you have a sensitive stomach in general, I'd start blazing immediately.

If you want the onset to be a little milder, you guys could make tea out of it. Tastes a lot better too.

just gotta be in the right mindset. with the right people. and the right setting. as comfortable as can be mentally and physically. listen to music. go check out nature. if you feel sick go lean on a toilet. no judgement allowed in the safe zone. also, i'd suggest not having anyone around hanging with yall that isnt donig them/has never done them.

This is the big thing that's making me apprehensive, apparently having a bad trip on shrooms is far too common.

Sounds like you go a good start. Get pizza. Shrooms has the tendency of sticking on your teeth.
You're going to have a good time regardless of a supposed bad trip because you'll be together and that's enough to reverse a bad trip to a good trip.
