I went from thinking it would be complete shit to something I actually want to watch. I just hope the tone of the movie is reflected in this trailer and it's not some sort of hook to get people to see it. More of this pls WB, less BvS.

I think it's the govt is still struggling with how to deal with meta humans. They come to the conclusion they're not capable of doing it on their own, so they exploit these prisoners as a black ops team to deal with the issue as some menace is arising (whatever is making those golems and wrecked the town, seems like Joker is involved). They fight it.
