Bernie should have dropped out of this race weeks ago. He's only damaging the Democrats chances at the White House and his own reputation at this point.

As a Bernie supporter, I kind of agree. Not that I think he deserves some of the vitriol being thrown his way currently, but, I had a more positive view of Bernie and what he stands for a month ago. He's not going to win this so he has nothing to gain at this point, especially since he's playing to win instead of playing to make an impression.

I think Bernie's argument is that going after the sellers themselves shouldn't be the thing to do, but to deal with all of the loopholes and shady shit that allows the transferring of guns. It's kind of hard to apologize to someone who wants to go after head honchos if he feels it's not the head honchos that should be hunted in the case of gun distribution.

That said, this is the same group that has special protections, and I would imagine that you can ideally mix Hillary's "go after them fully" for the protections and Bernie's "attack the loopholes" arguments, but they're fighting one another over that. It comes off as shitflinging where they both are leaving holes in their arguments.

Answer me this:

Why should gun manufacturers get special protection under the law that only vaccines get?

If you can't answer, kindly back off with this infuriating and misguided defense of the PLCAA, thanks.
It's the quintessential example of money in Politics buying special favors. And you guys are buying into it hook, line, and sinker because of a shitty "common sense" reasoning.

Holy crap, did he just say he thinks the Sandy Hook family deserves no apology?

He could have responded better, but it's a really shitty question. people don't like bernie sometimes because of a lack of nuance in his viewpoints but when he actually has an answer to a question people that isn't black or white he's terrible and should apologise to the sandy hook parents. it's really poor stuff.

His family member that he murdered when he stole the gun. The Sandy Hook parents sued the estate of the deceased gun owner and were awarded around 2 million dollars. I don't think the courts failed here.

The gun was locked up if I remember correctly? Both he and his mother used to go shooting together, he had access. I think it's a bit of a stretch to say it was stolen, when the mother shared it with him, and gave him access.
