Why do I feel like I'm in the wild wild West?

Fun fact: by the late 1870's the "Wild West" had heavily restrictive gun control laws, barring civilians from carrying weapons outside of the home/hunting. The modern reputation is all tourism/Hollywood bullshit.

This shit would be massively illegal in late 1800's Arizona, lol

In the past few days we've had a tiger and an alligator found roaming the streets just north and west of houston. We've had damn near biblical flooding in Katy (just west of Houston)and now people shooting at shoplifters North of Houston. I really do feel safer in the hood.

im glad we have good honest gun owners to play judge and jury in a moments notice

Hey, they're protecting us from these lunatics who rob clothes which I approve of wholeheartedly. Don't worry about risking other peoples lives as long as you get the target, that's all that matters :l. God bless Ron Swanson and Amurika.

Should be charged with endangerment. Using a concealed weapon to fight off a mortal attack is one thing. Just bucking shots cause someone stole shit that's insured is another.

Back in the day if someone stole something from you that could mean the difference between feeding your family and starving during the winter. In modern times, not so much.

Granted I don't have much of a soft spot for thieves and their endless excuses but can't and shouldn't really shoot em while they're fleeing.

This wouldn't have happened if the shoplifters had guns also.

Of course liberal gaf ignores that minor detail.

Odds are if the shoplifters had guns someone that's innocent would have been shot in the face.

I'm not really outraged that the thieves could have been shot. But there's just no justifiable reason to fire at a moving car like that. A kid could have been in it. Who knows.

I know I won't lose any sleep when those shoplifters get theirs. Ideally that entails being caught by police and getting charged w/ theft. But they keep living that life it might end up worse.

Shoplifting clothes is shitty, but shitty enough to not care if they die? Or not-so-subtly hint that you would be happy if/when it happens?

c'mon

I said exactly what I think. Stop that, lol. Here, lemme repeat for you:

Ideally that entails being caught by police and getting charged w/ theft. But they keep living that life it might end up worse.

What does that mean? Simple: Best case scenario they keep stealing they'll get pinched. Worse case is they end up dealing with someone that overreacts. Like genius bucking shots at cars.

That's not me saying I'd be happy if it happened. That's a simple acknowledgement of reality.

The citizen fired shots at the stolen minivan the thieves were driving, shooting at the tires.
Ah yes shooting at a slight downwards angle at a tire on a vehicle that could have hostages in it for all the shooter knew.
The perfect way to cause ricochets from missed shots.
Good job there.

Actually, you literally did say you aren't outraged that the shoplifters could've been shot, which pretty much signifies you think it would be ok if they got there asses murdered for stealing some damn clothes. The only thing that actually upset you was shooting at a moving vehicle.

Is this where you pretend to be outraged? I stand by my statements.

-CC shooting at moving vehicle should be charge with endangerment.
-More worried about innocent bystanders around that could have been shot.
-Shoplifing is a very minor crime. But you never know what type of mofos you run into doing that dumb shit. Not me saying I agree, just saying overreactions can and do happen. Hence the incident itself...with this idiot shooting at a moving vehicle. Does that justify it? Of course not! But that's unfortunately reality.

I don't trust a single one of them, especially when they're the type to carry in public.

Don't be that guy. Generalizing isn't cool.

If you carry a deadly weapon in pubic, why would I trust you? No one should have to be around that shit or even think about it. I stand by that statement fully, which is reasonable, unlike not really caring if people stealing some clothes got shot by some pathetic cowboy. If it was police, I would feel the exact same way.

This man should lose all gun privileges for the rest of his life.

Robbery or burglary, I understand and justified. Shoplifting/theft? Nah.

Hell, some stores won't even sign complaints on shoplifting. Makes you wonder why they even call 911 in the first place.

still waiting for the day that something good comes out of these dumb gun toting assholes. Bringing guns to a fucking mall, gg America.

What the fuck is wrong with people? Why do you care if somebody swipes something off a shelf, it's not your store. Go contact the manager instead.

Crazy fucks get offended at the idea of dem crimmys making off with that 20$ item the store will already recover in insurance. It's why most stores have a no contact policy for shoplifters, in no universe does it make sense to risk your employee's life over any product in your store, let the cameras and witnesses do the work of arresting them.
