I'm just going to cross the street from my house, buy the Japanese copy, and then the English copy on PSN a few months later (if that's how they release it - if it's a worldwide release, or dual audio, or subs, all bets are off)
Definitely wait.
It's not like i don't have quality games to play meanwhile.
Hell, i might even skip day 1 if it's too close to FFXV.
6:00 am for the stream and 8:30 am for the main event I think. (Philadelphia here)

I cannot imagine doing this. I mean I like these types of games because of the story so why would I play a game in a language I don't know? Different strokes I suppose.

Just like with the HK version of Gravity Rush. If the game is full translated in english if I have to wait for the US release I'll rather buy it from the HK Store
I don't care about any other release FFXV or whatever... P5 comes first.

Same. I'll import first version with English, then buy EU Collectors Edition if they include dual audio to support them little more.
The countdown is set to match your computer clock. It's not accurate if you don't live in Japan.

I'm with you in that decision. Can't put faith in the game coming to the eu and I need my persona 5 soon as possible. What are the sales for eu and Na in regards to persona.

FFXIII, i have no idea. I think i was just hyped for a new FF.
For P5 if it had english subtitles I don't really mind. Not sure I could resist

If P5 would have English subtitles/Japanese audio release that would actually be the dream come true.
I am only expecting a new trailer with the JP release date.
Persona 5, SMTIV: Apocalypse and #FE all in one year would blow my mind.

The official web still shows 2016 for US... so I don't think that will be a US delay again...
They had plenty of time for localizing it... They should have been optimizing it for PS4 and translating it at the same time...
I don't think that will be worldwide release date... 'cause EU will probably getting it later due publishers... but I don't think that a JAP/US same release date is impossible.

you can see a 6th character in the PV03 trailer with brown hair, so at least 1 more is guaranteed.
Subtitles? That is a whole different story. I got 87 hours into Digimon Cyber Sleuth and that game is sub only. Getting Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and that's sub only too. If I could get Persona 5 early with just subs I would probably have to jump on that.

FFXV easily. As much as I'm hyped for P5, I will not play the JP version that I don't understand. Hope the localization won't take long.
XV without a single doubt.
I have been waiting it for so long, it gets priority over everything else in my life.
Plus i want them to be a bit distant from each other because if they're too close i won't stop making comparisons between them and that could ruin my enjoyment.
You're going to find a lot of people on Gaf and other jRPG forums answering P5, but I think the greater market is going for FFXV just by the brandname and history.
I think that really helped the pacing though. Game was still throwing surprises deep into that 90 hour playtime.

English dub and Western release. Always. If some people prefer the sound and tone of the Japanese language that's fine but if there's a dub in my tongue that's a plus for me.
Where is she in the trailer? Or is she just one of the voices in the trailer?

She's one of the voices when they're running. You can very clearly hear Ann say something in the same scene, so it's not her.
You can see a sixth character in the third trailer while they're running down the pyramid, but you can't make out any details. Her voice can also be heard at the very beginning.

I wonder if it's too early for them to give a breakdown of the differences between the PS4 and PS3 versions? Japanese companies tend to be upfront with announcing the differences. Square recently released this list for Dragon Quest Heroes 2

FFs success isn't a given like that anymore. They need all the help they can get. Mainstream audience isn't going to buy it just because it's FF and Square knows that, which is why they're focusing on the open-world aspects of XV and emphasizing that you can enjoy the game while not being a fan.
They're very much not about to just sit there and watch the money roll in. The game isn't going to bomb, but it'll be a hard fought victory getting into cross 5m units sold, let alone hitting 10.

They should announce a release date for tomorrow and just drop copies off the Tokyo Tower.
