Stellaris - Paradox Dev Studios new sci-fi grand strategy game

by the way, will there be more colours for empires in the final game? can't tell where one empire begins and another begins at the bottom of the map since it looks like at least three right next to each other seem to be red.

They need thick border separaters so you can tell. It looks awful when the reds are all together like that.

I think it's more a problem of changing distribution of empires since color is determined by the player. But yeah some sort of border line would help as well.

so i guess my pc that can only run europa universalis 4 on normal settings will not be able to run this. time to get that gaming pc.

So strong fallen empires are strong. Who knew?
Sadly enough, there's actually a topic on the official forum from someone asking why they're so powerful...

Rringworlds look pretty. Think we'll be able to build our own ringworlds eventually?

haven't notice it yet, so does this game have euiv style ledger? it's good if there's no ledger spying or stuff like that, but lists like current wars and such?

I don't think GPU is the bottleneck in this game. Whatever you're SLI'ing will probably be fine single GPU wise. The devs have been quite on SLI support, so I wouldn't count on it.

I'm on 4K so the GPU power comes into play a bit more. One Titan X can probably handle it but I often wind up needing to turn some settings down for single GPU games.

Not like it's super important for this kind of game anyway, but it's nice. I've got a preorder in regardless. Will see how it goes.

4K definitely puts more strain on the GPU, but it's mostly down to per pixel/shader effects and memory bandwidth. I think you'd still be fine. They're recommended is a 560ti - let's bump that up a smidge to a 750ti for a better comparison, your Titan X (can you adopt me?) has 4.6 times more shader power assuming no OC ;)

I can't believe this game drops in the middle of my finals schedule. At least I'll have the greatest reward ever for finishing.
