Persona 5 comes out September 15th in Japan

Yo seriously can I like, crowdfund the localization to make it come faster? Because I totally would.

Awesome trailer. Every single one has been something I can show my friends to convince them to hop on the Persona trailer for the first time. I'm cool if that's the last one, though, so a few secrets can still be in the final game.

That release date is pretty daring from Atlus, since it means they will be facing Final Fantasy XV almost head on, and I doubt Atlus will have as big marketing budget for the game, as Square will have.

With Nintendo in orbit doing whatever it is they are doing I seriously need this game to come out this year. It will be hard to make it through the summer without anything to look forward to this holiday.

With IQ like that, I don't even care that it's cross-gen.

Dungeons look like they might actually be good this time, too. Overall, excitement is high.

There's a better shot of the last party member in that cover shot.

New party members in general look more 'lively' than their out-of-the-castle portrayals - probably relates back to that 'true self' being hidden and the mask concept.

That's a meaty trailer, lots of locations and story stuff packed in there even with the language barrier.

Expecting 2017 for NA, seems like a pretty significant localization project.

I hope not. This was supposed to be released in 2014. They should have made some headway in the meantime.

I don't understand written Japanese text at all (I can make out some audio here and there).

But is anyone else like me considering dropping cash on an import just to play with the stylish menus and listen to the music? 😐😐😐

Granted its a different genre / ecosystem but interesting to see them releasing so close to EOV also. Would have thought they would want to put a little space inbetween the two. Though from the argument that it is a different ecosystem, which it is. Does pass on that.

Has Persona gotten big enough to afford simultaneous worldwide release? I think some people here overestimate its global popularity.

I've settled on mug party from the pv. Punchy girl, blue hair painter and the cat. Got a feeling the remaining girls minus Anne are going to annoy me based on design.

What about the October 1st cutoff point for ps4 Neo versions? Will Atlus try for a near simultaneous release to avoid creating a Neo build or will there be a larger gap in releases to accommodate the neo build?

My gut is telling me November or December for NA. I hope the former, but won't be surprised if it doesn't make it before Winter 2017.

I'm sure we'll get an NA release date at E3.

Expecting a March 2017 release or somewhere a little sooner. A December release is a possibility as well.
