I don't think so. They're not all that complicated. You're given a visual indicator that shows the radius of how far your wormhole stations allow you to travel, and you can freely travel within that radius. You'll just have to construct more Wormhole stations to go further.

Warp is the easiest to understand between the 3 propulsion types, but I would argue it's probably the worst of the bunch.

Also those types of games (Sins of a Solar Empire, Civ 4/5 etc.) seem to overwhelm me after a while. I'm having fun for (huge) amounts of times but I always feel like I'm doing bad.

Not mechanically complex but.. let's say it get's confusing as you grow
Also I do not like combat in those types of games that much - I jsut read in the OP that pacifist is possible which I personally LOVE.

I've only read the first few paragraphs to get an idea of the prose, as I am not familiar with the author, and it feels fairly standard as far as video game novels goes. Not much in the way of characterization, premise, or plot thrust so I can't really qualify any of that, but looks like it will be a quick read. Can give a mini-review if anyone is interested, though I admit I am far from the greatest literature critic.

30 mins later, I finally created my first empire.

The character creator is actually pretty cool with the various clothes, colors, etc. I am sure a ton of great portraits will be modded in.

Was trying to learn some of the keyboard shorcuts, as I want to use a tablet for this and found something I cant undo.

I presume its a map ping I hold alt ctrl right click, and it pings them wherever I click but I cant see a way to remove them, and they are rather distracting. I really wish there was shorcuts list and a way of zooming other than using the mouse wheel.
