I like it! Having better proportions for character models is a huge plus. Brings it closer to a full scale RPG. Idk which version I want. Leaning towards Sun for that badass legendary, but I want to know their typing first.

Battles seem upgraded

- No more platform under the Pokemon, they sit on the ground properly.
- Trainers now show up in battle

Seems to work like Colosseum and XD did.

It is pretty fucking weird how the game is out in JP/US (edit: Okay, even earlier for US it seems, the 16th) on a freaking Friday (the 18th of November) while the UK/EU are getting it on the 23rd which is a freaking Wednesday.

They did it with ORAS too. Main theory is that a ton of European stores broke the street date on XY so they're now releasing their games later here to avoid that happening again - and tge leaks that followed

Due to my history of going with the cute bird starter if one is available (Gen 3, 4) looks like I'm going Grass Type this gen. I haven't started Grass since Gen 1.

Starters aside, the setting seems pretty cool! It'll be nice to have another "tropical" locale (that will hopefully be enjoyable this time).
