Kind of weird they went with a Sea Lion for a starter, though, considering Samurott is a sea lion already.

Meaning the final form of this Pokemon and Samurott would be the same species, which is not something they've done before.

Unless it drastically changes species for the final evolution.

According to the site, the grass starter knows a move called Leafage which it knows when we get it. The other others have Water Gun and Ember respectively. New move or mistake?

Does this resemble an existing low level move? Grass Type starters usually get Absorb/Leech Seed/Vine Whip. It's not one of those.

Yeah... With the game being (at least partly) based on Hawaii, I'd say it's very likely that this is just one island in an archipelago.

Yeah no way that's the whole region. That's like 3 towns max.
I guess we'll have to get on a boat or ferry to get to the other regions at first before flying.

Should be Leafage indeed. When it hits, what seems like feathers float around Popplin(?). Either feathers or brown leaves.
