probably the worst starter designs I have ever seen.

Hoping their final form look good, so I can evolve them straight fucking away!

only one which looks remotely decent and potential for its evolutions is the fire starter..

The seal looks like freaken goofy or something.

Also grass/flying? lol dat 4 x ice weakness.

Every time I see the new starters for any new gen I think it's the worst stuff ever and a bit later I end up liking them anyway.

Fire cats design isn't that amazing but honestly it's all about Final Evolutions anyway, will g for Grass starter tho because I've been Team Grass since Gen 1.

Clown sea lion is lame af tho, the worst way they could go with a seal. No wonder why it's not lit like the other two. That means the final form is going to be the coolest I guess.

Oh man, and Hawaii. Tropical stuff. Water. America. Rainbows.

Too cool

Well theres a difference between implementing the attributes in the design of pokemon without getting ridiculous with colors and shapes and just laziness with with make a cat red and black or slap a leaf infront of the owl.

The cat is red because it's Fire type. The owl has a leaf on it because it's Grass type.

And they're the first stage starters.

Guys, is it normal to be hyperventilating? I'm just so fucking hyped. November 18 seems so damn far away. I want my cute fire type cat already. :<

Maybe the evos look much better but the starters look lame and uninspired.

Like a frog with a bulb on its back, a dinosaur with a leaf on its head, or a turtle with a sapling on its back?

Or an orange lizard with his tail on fire, a hedgehog with fire instead of quills, an orange chick, a monkey with a fire tail, an orange pig and a fox.

I skipped Treeko because I couldn't figure out how to make him sound plain and uninteresting because he's a gecko/raptor...

Litten needs a badass ruffian 2nd Evo like Quilava

Rowlett.... I can't even spitball an idea for it. But I want it to grow into a massive bird

Popplio just needs to grow into its damn nose.

The (my) dream of Rock/Flying/Fighting starter trio waits another gen.

The kitten needs work; as it stands its got that Gen 4 desperate stripes and stuff thing going on.

The fucking whiskers on the cat give me no confidence for this gem of Pokemon. I thought they wanted to go for simpler designs?

LMAO Have you even seen a cat in real life?

People really do complain about everything.

Forreal, who uses ice moves?

The only decent one is Ice Beam and Blizzard and good luck getting that on a Mon if it isn't a TM, you should be fine.

Ice Beam is like one of the most popular moves in competitive play

You would think they would make a better trailer considering how big the series is. Also I really wish this series would transition to stronger hardware already.

Initial impressions of the starters was that they looked really weird and litten looks like a yokai, then official art swayed me, then fan art swayed me more, then imagining playing the game and actually having it as a starter sold me. Then I realized this happens every time since gen iii for me.(except oddly gen VI nailed it, I think kalos starters looked the most fitting since the first gens).

The original post lacks informations and screenshots and boxarts...wtf?

"November 23rd in EU"

FUCK YOU NINTENDO

They did a great job by having finally fully-scaled human bodies. It really helps with the 3D overworld, that look like a real world (maybe too empty?) and not a GBA-DS world. But the animations are weird...

The boy hero is way too generic. The girl is better but they lack inspiration since gen 6. What happened ? This is because of the dumb customization ?

I like the starters. They look fresh and their evolutions all have potential if they don't screw them up.

The Hawaii region is OK, I hope they make it like Hoenn with lots of islands. I'm more of a Sinnoh fan though. Is the sky image of the region they showed the full region ? Because it looks so damn small.

I'm on Team Moon. The legendaries are OK too.

I am pretty surprised at how much better the overworld looks, honestly. Even setting aside the dropping of the chibi style, it looks night and day from X and Y.

Fantastic world, ugly starters, nice character models and wonky framerate. But what's up with the audio? Sound is compressed as fuck, played some music on my computer and its not from it.

Anyway, will buy the 2 versions, as always.

This is because of the dumb customization ?

What? That is like one of the best new features of recent times. Pokémon tries to tell us this is our adventure so why not allow us to try and make our trainer look the way we want them to look. Just need to allow us to get to the barbers to change our hairstyle asap.

Expecting grass owl to become a giant killer owl.

Fire cat becomes a tiger or something similar.

Sea lion stands on 2 legs and becomes what Dewott deserved to be.

We already have seals and cat. There are soooo many water choices they could've gone but noooooo. I'm going for the owl most likely. I usually choose grass anyway except for piplup gen.
