Pokémon Sun and Moon Starters Revealed. Releases November 18th 2016.

god i hope we can directly trade i really dont want to pay for a pokebank subscription to trade over all the pokemon i have bread and ev trained.

It's just $5 and the bank is so worth it because you never have to worry about losing your Pokemon if something happens to your copy.

oh i know i bought it twice once for when i switched my pokemon x retail to the digital version after i had to sell my retail version and the other for the johto startes and im sure i will get it again since i have a completed national dex in ORAS and being able to trade boxes of pokemon at a time will be helpful but dammit i can still complain about lol

I just wish the Regis were SR'able. That was really stupid.
I just accepted that every legendary from Hoenn except Registeel hates me and lo and behold, Modest Regirock and Careful Regice. They go great with my Relaxed Jirachi, Modest Regirock, and Brave Latias from Gen 3.
(The Registeel was good as expected, but I have no idea what I'd even do with Light Metal.)

Popplio's evo could be water/fighting.

Litten's evo could be fire/ground

If the Fire/Ground and Water/Fighting holds true, Gamefreak is giving the grass starter some love for a change. With Grass/Flying being immune to ground type attacks and resistance to both Water and Fight moves.

Ugh, the fighting type ruins everything. I'm still bitter about the abomination that is Chesnaught.
I thought that Popplio would share Oshawott's ugly basic stage and awesome 2nd evolution but there's no hope if it gets stuck with the fighting type.

Those two type pics could be for an entirely different pokémon that could be announced tomorrow in the cocororo video reveal, but the number and order of those types makes me think they are for the starter evos.

Ground/fighting.

If those are really the final evolution types, I'm not training any of them. And this is the first time I wouldn't do it. I'm a huge fan, but I'm getting pretty tired of GF antics.

At first I was like Ew to Fire/Ground but if it was real and Litten was actually pretty fast then the typing actually isnt that bad. But hey who knows if that is true.

I doubt those types are for the starters since we're going to get other new Pokemon before the evolutions, but we'll see.

I also believe we are getting a fighting/ground pokémon reveal shortly or two pokémon, one fighting and another one ground.

One thing is sure, those two types images have been uploaded for some reason.

Those typings could make sense.

Fire/Ground for Litten to take on the sulphur theme which seems to be hinted and Water/Fighting could basically turn Popplio into an acrobat of sort.

I wouldn't bet any money on that though, could be for other pokémon.

Yeah, Fire/Ground makes sense for Litten if they're going with a volcano/sulphur theme.

Water/Fighting for Popplio, as an acrobat. Could see that happening.

And Rowlet stays Grass/Flying.

Liking the sound of those typings. Though I was loving the idea of Fire/Poison for Litten so if it ain't true no biggie. Water/Fighting for Popplio would be interesting design wise.

If Litten IS Fire/Fighting I'm going to laugh so hard. GameFreak probably thinking Fire/Pyschic is all you fools get before going right back lol.

Based on the order, you'd think the Fire symbol would come before the Ground symbol if it was Litten's secondary typing. Perhaps the Ground is meant for Rowlet and loses it Flying secondary? It'd put peoples mind at rest about its not so great typing.

That would make rowlet be too strong against popplio and litten.

They are weird typings for matchups, but interesting. Unless they modify some types for sun/moon.

Yeah, makes sense. I was just alluding to how common Fire/Fighting starters are and how some people would probably lose it if that happened again after Blaziken, Infernape and Emboar.

Water/Fighting is actually a cool typing and not that common (only Poliwrath and Keldeo). Fire/Ground is pretty rare too with only Camerupt and Primal Groudon representing it.

I first thought that the Litten line would be fire/dark but fire/ground makes way more sense. It knows it's trash (Litten = litter kitten) so it will bury itself in the ground to hide in shame.

I believe that when they updated the web for the starters, they also uploaded those two types for tomorrow's Corocoro announcement. I might be wrong, but it's the only explanation I have.

Hope so. Would mean we'll get to see new Pokemon in the next CoroCoro.

Oh? I didn't know we were expecting something from CoroCoro. I thought they said the "big scoop" would be pushed back another month (so next month).

EDIT: So there's a video? We're either going to see new Fighting and Ground type Pokèmon (possibly one that's a combination of both as well) or the evolutions to the starters tomorrow. Either way, it sounds exciting.

I saw fanart of a Rowlet evo where it becomes a Griffin type animal and turns Grass Ground. I wouldn't mind something similar.

Oh wow, did they change this?

When I first tried it out I had to move one pokemon at a tie. Didn't know you could do it box by box.

Press select (?) and you can switch selection mode. Once it's pressed twice I think, you can multi-select, up to the size of an entire box.

Always been there, same functionality as we now have in-game. You have three modes to switch between with Select/Start:

Red: Opens the typical menu for the current Pokemon
Blue: Switch mode, picks up current pokemon, you can drop it wherever, if you drop it on another Pokemon it switches them
Green: Multi mode, pressing A begins a selection box, expand it then press A again to grab all the selected Pokemon, you can then drop them wherever

If you go to the green mode, hit A at the top left corner of a box, down 4 times then left, you'll have the whole box selected. Easy peasy.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wut.

The thought of another Fire/Fighting and Water/Ground starter line just makes me sick. I'm tired of Fighting being in every starter trio. And they only two starters I like are Litten and Popplio, so if they mess up their typing, I won't use them. In already tired of always training a Water/Fire/Grass Pokemon, I won't tolerate another fighting starter, it's boring. There are 10 more types, no one is forcing them to repeat the same things over and over.

Im not asking for them to use types like Fairy or Dragon, which might seem overpowered for a starter trio. But something like Poison, Bug of Electric would be a welcomed change. We haven't had those type combination yet for starters. We only have the chance to get new Pokemon once every few years, let's not make the same ones over and over. That's why I'm against this generation wasting +30 more pokedex slots on recreating the regional bird line, the regional bug line, the regional dragon line, the regional rock line and similar over and over. We have enough of those, they can use old Pokemon to fill those cliches and innovate with the new ones. If they want a Fire Fighting starter, give Infernape a mega and give it to us early in the game, but don't waste Litten's line again on this boring combination.

Bulbasaur? Also Pikachu, but frankly I don't really count it as a starter either, Yellow's a special case.

Popplio's evo could be water/fighting.

Litten's evo could be fire/ground

Going by the way those images are ordered. It seems to imply rowlet would lose the flying type and go Grass/Ground instead of the cat going fire/ground

Literally only two starters out of 36 use those types. I know Bulbasaur is Grass/Poison, I know Pikachu was a starter once, I'm just saying that a Fire/Poison or Water/Electric starter would be more interesting that yet another Fire/Fighting.
