But seriously, everyone gets twisted after Game 1 and it rarely matters. How soon have we forgotten SA torching OKC in Game 1 a couple weeks ago? This shit happens all the time.

portland isnt a good team and has one of the worst defensive backcourts of all-time but gs was clearly fucking around for a lot of that series and still swept them in 5
A gentleman's sweep is still a sweep is it not?
They're joke posts.

The difference is that OKC won on the road. They now can win in 6 if they protect home court.![]()

Warriors broke the all-time record for road wins this season so they can certainly get one back in OKC.
But it's more than just being down 0-1, it's the way they lost. Being up 13 at home, Durant playing a subpar game. It's worrisome tbh.
Was Klay in? He was on Roberson right? I didn't get that either.I'm watching the game right now...why the hell Kerr allowed Curry to stay the entire 3rd Quarter with Westbrook? Too funny.

Klay held Westbrook to 35% shooting in the 3 games this season. He should be getting that assignment whenever he's on the floor.
Klay did do pretty well on Durant also. When the 4th started Kerr switched and put Livingston on WB but OKC had clearly switched the momentum of the game. Klay did a good job on Durant on a lot of plays.
This Westbrook that only shoots 3-5 dumb shots per game can actually make OKC win any series. He just needs to know when to be restrained and when not.
I disagree. You have to leave Curry, best all around player in basketball, to guard him.
this series might be a rare and elusive 7 game sweepWarriors sweep in 6.
As long as the Cavs don't win I am fine with whoever.
So Golden State is going to lose 3 games at OKC?
Because that's what is going to have to happen for OKC to win this series.
Golden State won't lose again at home.

Counter-point: Golden State won't win again at home.
What's your point exactly? OKC is more likely to win 3 homes games than multiple road games. This was true for every playoff series ever.
A team that hasn't lost two in a row in over a year is going to lose 3 more games in one series?

Warriors need to be just a touch more conservative on offense, or at least smarter. Fuck You 3's are part of their game, but shooting something like this instead of giving Livingston the dunk is what can lose you close games

It's definitely a tricky balancing act. Some of those crazy 3's are simply part of their offense, and they can hit them usually, but I feel like last night Klay and a few others veered a little too far into crazy shot territory.i had this discussion with a friend recently...about how warriors shoot a lot of 'dumb' threes. A lot of times they just happen to go in though. I argued that a bad shot is a bad shot no matter how good of a shooter you are. This screencap highlights this IMO. Certainly Thompson can hit that shot even with Durant closing/playing D but smart play would have been the easy deuce to Livingston.

Yeah...I dunno how you correct this though because those shots aren't terrible for Klay and Steph....I think it's gotta start with them being more patient when chipping away at deficits..take the easy two instead of going for the dagger 3...
My point is a team as good as Golden State isn't going to drop 3 games in OKC and they aren't losing again at home. Golden State in 7.

gotta play the numbers and take the easy bucket. surely an uncontested dunk/layup is a higher percentage shot than a klay 3.

Agreed, the 72 win Bulls team benefited from expansion diluting the league.Regular season win totals don't mean a thing. GS was struggling (due to injuries, but that happens to all teams) against Portland. Bulls in 92 (IMO) were better than the 72 win Bulls team. They just didn't have the benefit of expansion teams showing up in the league and having younger guys enter the draft all in the same time.
Everybody points at the win totals and compares them to earlier years. "Well actually this team won this and this many games". No kidding. You got X amount of teams you are gonna get approximately the same win totals every year, even for bad teams. Doesn't mean the teams are just as good. If you think GS and their 73 win team is the greatest team in NBA history, you have the attention span of a 5-year old and no knowledge of basketball history.
Thunder gonna sweep the warriors in 7
I don't think you know what sweep means. If it goes to 7 it's not a sweep.
lol fuck that ..Portland is a really good team. You don't accomplish what they did without being a good team. What they lack is experience and a good defensive big man.
And no they really weren't fucking around..what is this bs?..if Curry didn't go ape shit and if Portland didn't shit the bed completely in game 2 we would be looking at a different state of things that series. Without curry going full curry mode that team not that great is the reality and some just don't seem to accept it for whatever reason
Pro-tip: Don't take everything you see seriously. There are more than a handful of sarcastic posts in this thread.
Also, OKC in 1.5.
