I wonder if the GTA 5 marketing deal that Sony had was a part of the payoff for Agent. It certainly did wonders for the PS3. The TLOUR/GTA5R PS4 bundle didn't do too shabby either.

All we have is those Tretton GT interviews from years ago where he implied they owed them for letting GTA4 go multi-platform when they were contractually obligated to release it as a PS3 exclusive.

I thought Sony helped with L.A Noire? It's been a long time so I'm not sure.

With Star Ocean 5 on the way this June, whats up with the Second Evolution PS4/Vita port? It was announced last year and quoted as "not taking long". You'd think it would have hit before the new game. Unless that gets a date before E3.

As far as I am aware there are no plans to release it in the west.

Looking forward to it. Hope to hear release dates for The Last Guardian and Horizon Zero Dawn. Would like to see more of Nier Automata, Persona 5, and Detroit, among others. Curious about PSVR. Don't expect to hear about Neo.

Really looking forward to seeing more of Horizon. Really praying for an anouncment of anything related to SOCOM. These will make me happy.

I'm not feeling it this year.

GoW4 - Not interested anymore.
All the marketing deal shooters - Waste of time for me.
Sucker Punch: Spiderman - This would be a total eyeroll from me. Waste of a talented studio.

Suppose i'm interested in Dead Don't Ride despite the awful title. Perhaps we'll get the release date for Ni No Kuni 2.

Dream announcement would be Final Fantasy X-3 or FFXVI turn based.

Because of that one thread, now I'm hoping there's a open world pirate game that gets announced at Sony's conference. X1 and PC got theirs, PS4 needs one too!

This, Red Dead and Spider-Man or bust.

If they announce that PS4 can now play PS3 (and prior) games via disc, that would be a potential 2015 E3 beater for me. It won't happen though, considering how much they've invested in Gaikai and PS Now. But if it did, oh man!

I see no one has jumped on you for this comment yet.

Disc based PS3 emulation will never happen on PS4. Never ever. Not because of Gaikai/PS Now. Because it's technically impossible.

Would I love if it happened? Definitely.

Might it happen on some future more powerful PlayStation iterations? Hopefully.

Likely scenarios:

1) CoD Demo
2) Ubisoft AAA Holiday game (Watchdogs 2/Ghost Recon? Maybe both?)
3) Some type of Destiny update/news
4) Release date for the The Last Guardian (MAYBE a trailer)
5) New Horizon demo/trailer, and release date. If they only show a trailer then there'll definitely be a behind closed doors demo.
6) Square Enix catalog, but probably no new game announcements. Just new trailers/updates on already announced ones. FFXV is likely, but lower chances for FF7R/KH3. Other candidates here are Hitman, Nier, and Tomb Raider PS4 news/exclusive content. If SE does announce something new, then I don't think it'll be a AAA IP. Probably a smaller game. Also, maybe a remaster?
7) Indie Catalog. A safe bet would 4-6 games. We'll definitely get new indie game announcements, as well as updates on announced ones. I'm personally hoping to see Pyre, Matterfall, and Song of the Deep (Insomniac). It would be cool if Insomniac actually gave an on stage demo, but I'm not sure if it's the kind of game that lends itself well to that kind of presentation. Either way I want to see Insomniac get spotlight at this conference.
8) 1-2 new AAA Sony published exclusive(s) announced (not necessarily 1st party, just Sony published). I'm guessing its too early for SSM and Sucker Punch, so a solid bet would be on Sony Bend. Or, Sony Japan could be there.
9) New PSN update/features announced. They tend to do this at E3.
10) VR segment-probably not much of a focus on hardware/features, more focus on games. I dont think this'll be a super long segment. Maybe spend some time showcasing 2-3 games (new ones or already announced ones). They'll also highlight (in some capacity) social features of these games. Then a guaranteed sizzle trailer.
11) Dreams demo. Strong focus on why this is a game you actually want to PLAY.

Possible scenarios:

1) New Rockstar game announcement. Probably RDR 3, but its high time R* announced a new game. They've always seemed to like Sony, and there've been some rumors they might actually be at E3 this year.
2) NMS VR announcement. This would be an excellent way to inject some new hype into both VR and NMS. Otherwise a short, but hype trailer for NMS is a possibility.
3) Bioshock collection announced. Again, T2 likes Sony for whatever reason, and this game is all but confirmed. Also, if Ken Levine does announce his new game at E3, I bet it'll be at Sony's conference.
4) New RE shown. Not sure if it'll be RE7 or RE2 remake. Then again, it may be too early for either of these to be shown.
5) Persona 5. Not sure if it'll be problematic for Sony to show this due to their relationship with SE, but I'm sure they're very aware of the hype for this game.
6) New GT:sport trailer. Listing this as only a possibility because I'm not sure if there's anything significant to show?
7) Ni No Kuni trailer, although this could be more appropriate for PSX.
8) Detroit trailer/release date. This might be more appropriate for Gamescom.
9) Crash surprise developed by Sanzaru?
10) ME3 demo/trailer. It's slightly difficult to predict if EA will be at Sony's conference, seeing as how they seem to want to do their own thing and that they've been strong partners with MS. If they are there though, I can see Sony trying to align the ME franchise with PS4 now.

A real surprise would be Spiderman by Sucker Punch. God I want that so bad lol.

I'm going with no Neo, seems to early for a October/November release.
Let me know if you guys think I'm missing something obvious.

lol don't expect any news or footage of RotTR at Sony's E3 press conference. Game is old by now. Nobody cares. Maybe they will give infos out alongside but that's it.

How about... Some sort of weird/cool Lara/Nathan team up/crossover exclusive level type thing included with the PS4 version.

Just throwing that out there. I mean SQ need to do something to have PS4 gamers want to buy it in decent quantities... right?!

I would preorder that even if it was $60. That would be epic.

New Medievil
New Parasite Eve
Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve 2 hd remasters
PSO2 coming to the West
PSX classics on PS4
RE7 shown and exclusive demo for PS4 users

I am expecting the game to be bundled with ps4k/neo console. It would be easy for Sony to get a cheap deal from square Enix and maybe throw in uncharted as well and sell a special adventure bundle.

New FF VII Remake trailer introducing Tifa and Aeris. The first part will probably release next year, if Kitase and Nomura were serious about this having a shorter development cycle. Cyberconect helping out adds credence to that.

I'm expecting a competent but unexciting, low-drama show by Sony this year. They don't have anything to prove at this point, just keep up the momentum. They will need to spread their game announcements out to cover several other conferences this year, so E3 won't be loaded up. I think it will be a B-minus kind of conference. It'll hit the main points but do nothing to really wow or surprise people. That's my expectation, anyhow. If they do better than that, it'll be a pleasant surprise.

I feel like there is zero hype for MS presser. I hope they show some hunger at this E3 but I fear they will just stall until next gen.

I think there's definitely less hype this year for MS' conference (I mean compare this thread to the Microsoft one. This one is like 5 times bigger). Everyone seems to be focusing on Sony this year, especially after that crazy conference last year, and not just on GAF.

But I also think that could work in Microsoft's favor. They could easily have a show that is better than most people expect and surprise a lot of people. We'll see.

That is what I was thinking. The less hype, the better. While I do think Sony will overshadow MS again this year, MS can definitely put on a solid show that may surprise.

As an aside, I've been going back and reading MS E3 2015 thread. I think I will do the same with Nintendo and Sony.

I don't know if it seems likely but I'd love for Sony/Insommiac to announce a remastered collection of the Ratchet & Clank Future trilogy for the PS4. Done by Bluepoint of course.

But that's wishful thinking.

I would love it as well. Playing Tools of Destruction with trophies is a wish of mine.

This is just hypothetical on my part: Would anyone be excited if it was announced at Sony's E3 conference that PS4 will get a Steam Link app, allowing you to stream your Steam Library to PS4? I think that would be neat, especially as PS4 already has full keyboard and mouse support. In addition (this would never happen, but I think it would be icing on the cake), I would love to see some games that are simultaneously released on Steam/PS4 be cross-buy between PS4/PS4/PSVita/Steam, with more Rocket League-esque cross-play (and cross-save, too).

I want to see The Ratchet and Clank Collection (Ratchet and Clank HD, Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando HD, Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal HD), Ratchet: Deadlocked HD, Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, The Jak and Daxter Collection (Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy HD, Jak II HD, Jak 3 HD), Jak X: Combat Racing, Resistance: Fall of Man, and Resistance 2 come to PS Now. Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty, Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, all the Sly Cooper games, and Resistance 3 are already there.

I don't have a personal stake in such a feature(ex pc gamer) but it would be a great addition. With Microsoft continuing their attempts to link PC and Xbox gaming it would be a great counter move by Sony.
